Was not Reddit, reddit its just a source for .Onion directories where you can find whatever from medical pot, to child porn, 99% are scam or FBI's honey pots.
Point still stands. Simple screen shot from the source, without conjecture, opinion, spin, could be more accurately deciphered. That’s all I’m suggesting. No elevator pics, no investigation, just an accurate quote of what was posted.

That thread is hilarious in hindsight, given that Apple basically confirmed they had nothing going on in 2016 and were looking towards the iMac Pro instead.
I think what's more important than a black cloth being whipped off at WWDC to reveal a new piece of gear, is Apple's commitment to the MacPro from that day onwards. Who (in their right mind) would want to get involved with another MP that's gunna get neglected for another 5 years?

Phil gave some semi-assurance that that wasn't going to happen from now on - but I'd like to see that promise signed by three executives and projected up on the big screen at WWDC.

That would be the best "one more thing" Apple could ever present. (but it ain't gunna happen).

I don't see why that would make a difference. What will is consistent hardware updates back on the schedule and the track record. Talk is of course easy.

What killed the tube Mac Pro more than anything was that Apple wasn't willing to update the product and stand by it, so why would anyone else? I would have bought a machine years ago, even with the limitations, except Apple had nothing new to offer me.

Seems a bit inquisitive for a thing likely a scam, sorry dont worth the copy-paste.
Even in the desert heat a mirage gives you temporary hope. I didn’t mean to jump down your throat in any way. We’re just starved for some word, hint, something.

Based on the ‘leak’ you cited, I imagined a vertical ‘blade’ or Xserve type box, but then I started thinking about the thermal limits, essentially like an iMac pro, sans screen and pci-e’s, who knows but I think it’s a stretch given the “can’t innovate my ass! This is the Mac Pro design for the next ten years!”-(who the f*** honestly thought phil meant that seriously-nearly 5 years after the fact. I sure hope they don’t let Phil unveil this thing-or at least if he does own up to it being a flustercluck).

Our local Nostradamus aside, there IS another person in the Pro threads who claims to have a close relationship with Cupertino. I had to edit my post because this individual is still active and I'm not one for drama.

You guys don't have to be mean to him. He's a nice dude.
That's assuming he was portrayed as the carnival barker which he was not. "I ran into him at a carnival last weekend" does not imply this. If the words in front of the curtain were "AMDish" then maybe. Everything I post never attacks the poster or forum members only the premiss.

AMD not saying anything so far about Vega 20 makes me think they want to hold any announcement for an Apple Event around the Mac Pro, which would point to WWDC or an event soon after.

I was wondering myself just a couple a days back where he was. Man, where are you? Come back, really.
You guys don't have to be mean to him. He's a nice dude.
Of course he is, and I hope he is fine and healthy.

Isn't it too soon for Vega 20?

Isn't it too soon for Vega 20?

It's due in second half of this year, so way too soon for release, but you would think they would have said something about it by now.

Apple likes to shut their GPU providers up so they can announce the GPU with their machines and produce record shattering benchmarks like only the Mac Pro will have that GPU.

Not! We have received the best training from Apple lately, we are the most patient customers in history...

Hahaha... you lot are more patient then a tester in a paint factory literally watching paint dry everyday to test it....
Waiting for the New Mac Pro will be entered into the Oxford English Dictionary soon as the definition of ‘patience’...

I’ll be surprised if they show anything at WWDC, but if they do you won’t be able to buy it till next year at the earliest. I suspect they only started designing it when they talked about it last year?

They may just have made us a big favour and discussed about it, only once, just to show that something is happening...
But they may also are designing something, in their spare time, when they have a brake from designing straps and naming variations of gold for the next colourful iDevice.
[doublepost=1521753564][/doublepost]The thing is that the rest of workstation manufacturers are miles ahead offering powerful and always updated systems. As there are no Mac clones, who are afraid of and they 're not giving a hint or some more specific details or a intentional leak about their "vision", their thoughts, their plans for the upcoming(?) Mac Pro?
