So yeah, guess we wait for an invite on the 20th now...and if nothing by then, think we can rule out Macs this month.

Too bad. I just got a raise and my 401k contributions don't change until mid next month, if this extra money makes it into savings it doesn't come back out. Come on Apple, don't you want my money?

Starting to worry that I will let people in this thread down. But just relax for a moment and see what's gonna happen.
Hoping that I won't be hunted by someone of you...... As I said I just did some translation out of kindness....
GOD THIS WAIT IS DRIVING US INSANE....

I still don't know why people think they will release Macbooks this month with skylake. Makes no sense with Kaby Lake coming out in January. If there is no invite by the 20th, there will not be any Macbook this year period.

I made this a few days ago. Hoped I'd never have to use it

27th is too late for an invite. 27th press release is the last option this year.

...month.

In Gurman and Kuo I trust, and they both say by end of 2016 (which really means before Thanksgiving.

KL doesn't have the integrated graphics options Apple needs for the 15", so they'll probably skip it for the MBP.

And I doubt machines with higher-class KL will be actually shipping before March.

The processors that are coming aren't the powerful ones used by systems like the MBP. The Kaby Lake processor coming January is for lower powered systems. I learned of this myself after getting on this forum. Look into the family of each processor and see the information on the U, H (HQ/HK) series, etc.

The right processor for the 13in is coming Q1 2017, it is U series 28W with GT3e GPU, however there will be no H processor with GT3e or GT4 like in Skylake. I think apple will just use the H + GT2 and offer a Polaris or Pascal GPU for the 15in.
