Waiting for Skylake MBP thread

You lot do realise that the invites are sent out to select members of the press etc and it usually one of them that makes it public. If they had been sent out today they would hardly even have had chance to open the email !!

People on this thread like " Oh my god is 9.03 am in Cupertino and nothing... "

Nobody knows how they are going to do this, there might not even be any kind of event and its just as likely for them to hold it towards the end of the month if there is . What is all the panic for?

It's part of the fun! ;)

It's like when you're waiting for Santa (or whoever delivers gifts in your country). You know he is coming, you know you are going to be opening your gifts before 6AM; but you are pretty nervous all the night, you can't sleep; you hear any noise and try to see if it's Santa who is making it.

Well, Apple is our Santa right now... a Santa that charges money for his gifts... but whatever.

Hahaha so many here are loosing it. People calm down. Invites change nothing.
Apple even may announce them without an event/meeting and say "FU" to all who are so impatient.

This thread was so much fun but lately it's a pain in the ass with all that nonsense about invitations.
We are still in the first half of October and nothing of the predicted rumors by Gurman or KGI man is proven wrong.
So please, get a cookie and relax.

Yea the 15W Kaby lake processors are already shipping. The ones without GT3.

Also I believe the Core M kaby lake processors are not yet shipping, but they seem to be very close. Maybe they have started shipping, can anyone confirm?
 
Someone said earlier that MacOS 10.12.1 releases next Tuesday (I think that was the day). Maybe Apple will just do a PR that day for new MacBooks. We can hope but this is also getting beyond crazy. Just give us a date and we will be happy!

It's going to happen. If it wasn't, Apple would use one of their preferred news outlets to deliver the bad news and set expectations accordingly (just as they did when those new monitor rumors with integrated graphics cards was doing the rounds). I fully expect an event on October 27th, but whatever happens updated Macs will be announced this month without a shadow of doubt in my mind.
 
I was at an Apple Store recently and talking to some of the employees and they said they can't wait for Apple to release the New MacBook Pros either.

I'm not going to do it but that buy a 2015 MBP and use it for a couple weeks and then return it when the new ones come it, It is tempting.....lol
 
Guys! After long talks with my fiancee (she didn't agree with me - we got in a nasty fight) we came to a conclusion. Since I have spoken to you more than to my family and friends over the last months and we have developed such a strong connection through this emotional rollercoaster, it is nothing more than common sense to invite you all to our wedding! :p Send me your address and you will receive the invites shortly ;)

The complete radio silence from Gurman, Dalrymple, Gruber, et al. kind of leads me to believe that they already have review units and are under embargo.

Yeah, I really need it for work, and I can obviously wait until the end of this month since it's so close, but if they go this month without a word about them again I'm going to have to go to windows ( which i swore to myself i never again would)

Dont make me do it apple....
