Metal is better than OpenGL is/was..

It's more modern, yes, but less feature packed than Vulkan, i.e. OpenGL was much closer to DX 9/10/11 than Metal is to Vulkan/DX12.
As far as Deus Ex, it's true that they'll be working on Metal for that, so it may not be a problem, but I still worry that Vulkan will be the more widely adopted, cross platform solution, which may prevent certain games from coming to macOS in the future.

THIS is what we call focus. The invites have FINALLY come out and this stone-faced mo-fo here is cooly posting about Metal/Vulkan.

I wonder what that red/pinkish color is supposed to signify. Probably just to make it nice but I'm guessing some people are gonna speculate since we got a whole week till the event

Not a lot to analyse this time. . .

Well, to spell it out for those who might not know, "Hello again" is a reference to the first Mac release, when Steve Jobs used the text-to-speech to say "Hello, I am Macintosh."

They somewhat repeated this with the iMac, so if you want to read into things, we could be getting iMac updates along with the MBP.

Halloween.

In case you're trying to read the tea leaves, my guess is it's a nod to the original Mac with the MacPaint 'hello" screen.

Maybe a new iMac redesign? Probably not, but just a different way of saying 'Back to the Mac'
