I'm going to hold off until I see what's being released. Might grab a dock from Apple if the feature/price is good. Either way, I'm sure we'll be waiting weeks for deliveries (I'm going all out config so will probably be waiting closer to a month). Plenty of time to scope out our options.

I have 1 question guys, maybe it is stupid but, do Apple Stores accept payments in cash? I have some hundred € in cash, saved a little for upcoming Macbook. don't want to put it on my credit card, don't want to lose some %.

Just a thought, if your credit card offers an extended warranty put it on there and then go home and send in a payment to the CC company. No interest that way and you get the extra warranty.

I've only been waiting since December last year, when I bought and returned the Surface pro 4 and vowed not to get a windows device in the immediate future as I don't like the direction they are going in.

I still hold my surface pro 4 right now. It doesn't deserve the price. I decided to change it to this new Mac on March 2016. Shaking hands.

Well as fate would have it I've just been scheduled in an all day meeting on Thursday October 27th... ARGH!!!!

Literally only happens 2 or 3x/year and it just has to be that day. Normally I'd close my office door, and stream the event.

The ONE event this year Im actually pumped for... and Im in a room with 5 other people for the day... sigh.

I'll try to avoid all sites/media that day till I get back to the hotel and play the stream then in all my nerd glory.

What if the other 5 people are Apple nerds as well?

If you're being serious, I'd wait if I were you––for adapters, at least––to see what Apple releases themselves. Im hoping for a TB3 dock.

But buy USB-C flash drives to your heart's content.

I need 4K, so I don't have hope...it would probably not support displayport chaining, only work on their new 5K display, or some other BS.

probably just gonna snag a USB c to micro B cable for now to use with my external hard drives and wait like you were saying to see what Apple has to offer.
