Just got out of my electronic circuits exam review, best news of my semester :D! I may have joined only 4 months ago, but I've been waiting to buy my first MacBook for well over 3 years, I remember drooling at my campus bookstore as a freshman, it's finally time guys/gals !

Of course the invite had to come out while I was in class, a seminar even. It was killing me to not be able to post about my excitement. :D Could not pay attention at all. Think I said "huh, what?" at least three times while my wandered in MacBook land. I was even going to pretend I had to use the bathroom just so I could get an excuse to start posting on my phone. Apple was like, "not gonna send them this morning or tomorrow, gonna flout everyone's expectations and send them LATER TODAY". Oh you crafty SOB, Apple. This stupid wait has been like all of 2016 for me, since I was still in high school...seems like a million years ago. No longer will I have to be without a laptop and write papers on a freakin' iPad

Anyway, long story short, I'm excited :D

THEY GONNA EMPTY THE WHOLE PIPELINE MY FRIEND! ITS BEEN JAMMED FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS!

Someone finally gave the pipeline some ex-lax :p

I have 1 question guys, maybe it is stupid but, do Apple Stores accept payments in cash? I have some hundred € in cash, saved a little for upcoming Macbook. don't want to put it on my credit card, don't want to lose some %.
I don't see any reason they shouldn't I remember when I was 16 and bought the iPhone 4 in £699 cash, Apple staff didn't even bat an eye

I've decided on my spec if I do buy one:

13/16GB/512GB

Will the UK have availability the same day as the US based on past launches?

Nice choice I'll go for the 13/16/256 because I'll use a second M.2 SSD 950 Pro the prices should fall since the 960 Pro has been released and I don't need such crazy speeds

Current wishlist for launch:

- 15" rMBP w/ 512GB SSD (1TB if I can afford it, lol), maxed RAM and CPU.
- Extra AC adapter
- Thunderbolt 3 dock would be freaking amazing if one is available and aesthetic
- USB C flash drive I guess
- about 17 - 25 various dongles for USB to whatever, double the number for spares to carry in my backpack, so 50 dongles
- And 128GB SD card if I get the 512GB.

Hopefully I can afford all of it, lmao.

Sorry for my ignorance but... What are "dongles"?

I don't even know what I want in life anymore. I'm just here because of the inertia. I will probably accidentally visit this thread for a few days out of habit even after finally knowing.

Yes, but prepare £100 extra due to GBP taking a dump after Brexit.

£100 extra is bearable given the circumstances.

256GB is enough for me based on my current usage, but I will probably take 512GB just in case I need to dedicate some space to a Boot Camp installation later on.

My Electronics exam is tonight at 7

Just checked MacRumors expecting nothing, and was shocked at the invites. They've never done such a late (in the day) invitation before! Can't wait.
