Is anyone else thinking Apple won't be doing an 'avalible now' or 'shipping now' option. But rather opting for a release in a few weeks time?

One would expect the new units to be arrive at distribution centres by now. History suggests we should be seeing increasing leaks as a result. Instead this has been a rather silient announcement in terms of leaks.

No, I really doubt it. They've been pushing out Sierra updates just for this event. There's no reason for them to push 10.12.1 if it were going to be released in 2 weeks.

Yeah, it's leaning towards that. Either way, I was going for a BTO so I had to wait regardless.

Why would I they push out an early version of an OS which is traditionally buggy for a new device. Having a one or two week grace period allows for them to find and fix any bugs into ensure the new MacBooks are on top preformace for release.

I am so excited for the first time I am dealing with macOS.
I have to learn everything from scratch. Shortkeys, commands, just everything.
but i can't wait to spend hours in front of this machine.
Btw. i am aiming for a 13" with 16GB Ram and (i5 or i7 not sure yet :() as well as 512GB of SSD storage.

Which model or specifications are you guys getting? I was aiming for the 15" with dGPU but after reading a probable 20% price increase in the UK, I don't know if that's the best idea anymore.
