I do not believe there is a student discount for the iPhone, but the rest is indeed total BS.

As we know it it's total BS (except for the iPhone part), but perhaps they added a cool down period for new products and uni discounts. That would be sucky.

Cos AFAIK there's meant to be a limit on how many products you can buy with the uni discount in each product category and some people were known to have ignored that limit and bought multiple ones, so I'd imagine that's an area Apple would want to improve on. May be wrong though.

Think I've decided on the model I'll go for - cheapest 512GB 13" that is available. 8GB RAM is probably enough and I don't really care about processor upgrades. Would love for them to be available to buy tomorrow, but we'll see.

Now I just hope they don't make them in different colours - will add a layer of indecision I don't need!

oh thank godguy on the phone just shut the idea down totally, on one hand he was claiming he won't know until the keynote and the prompts to tell me that the discount wouldn't apply to new products (total douchebag)

i don't see why it wouldn't apply to new products ... i think you won't be having a problem with student discounts but that's just my 2 cents.

I'd think technically you could, but I think Apple would have to support it and drivers would have to be available. Razer said they'd allow any maker to work with them to bring support to other laptops so Apple would need to work with them. So that being said, I won't hold out hope that it happens.

I meant, by running windows on Bootcamp ? Same issue ?

It will likely be a minor spec bump, perhaps an NVIDIA GPU which would be a reason to switch.
