I meant, by running windows on Bootcamp ? Same issue ?
Same issue. The Razer core doesn't work with all laptops. There has been some success with Dell XPS, but others have experienced issues. There are discussions on Razer's forums about what laptops work and which ones don't and currently there seem to be issues with any laptop that isn't a Razer.
Plus there is going to be a bit of competition between makers of eGPU setups. See what MSI is doing compared to what Razer is doing.

Guys as the site is down I'm sure pre ordering will start today but what do you think should we pre-order or will it be available in the stores this week .?

If you need a BTO, I would get that order in ASAP. Otherwise I would probably wait to see when they can bought in an Apple or retail store.

I don't know if they will be in stores.. I hope I'm wrong.. but if they were, wouldn't someone have snapped a picture of the box yet? Unless they are under tight security.

So close now.. so close.

Hey everybody, Mack here. I've been following this melodrama since about the 100 page mark.. how it's unfolded is incredible. I'm so excited.

So I have a few personal queries. I'm from London but currently in New York working, however I head home early tomorrow morning before any stores open and will arrive in London when stores are closed haha. Does anyone think there is even the slightest chance they'll be readily available to buy in store today?

Also, if that happens.. anyone envisage me having any issues taking it back to UK?

Any thoughts or ideas based on previous launches would be appreciated.

Let's go!

Have a performance review from 10am-11am so hopefully the store doesn't go up until after that. Sucks I'm missing the event but most likely getting a pay increase to help with my purchase lol

Yes, cyberport is great! However it's usually not far off from the discounted student prices apple offers. Over time cyberport gets more affordable, but I am unsure about new product launches. Any experience?

Bonus for Cyberport: I actually think they might be able to deliver faster if you want a slightly modified version with, let's say, a faster clocked i7. Just in my experience they have more of them in stock then apple somehow.

I was unsure too so I've asked them via email, they've told me usually they got them in stores the next day. Let's see what happens.

I made sure to create a "meeting" from 1:00-3:00 EST today so no one can bother me during this time. Last thing I wanna be doing is sitting in an actual meeting during the keynote!

I completely forgot to do this and now I have meetings from 1030-1 PST :( BUT I blocked off some time in the afternoon just in case I need to pop out to make a quick purchase ;)

Today's Macbook Pro is a new product technically. I personally think it could be available today. They've had a long time to test and do what they need to before releasing. This has had to be in the works for the last 2 to 3 years. The other possibility is it's available in store tomorrow, or it will go up for pre-order and release next Friday. Those are my guesses.
