New Macbook 15" in Italy... R.I.P. Apple

Ordered 15" base with 512GB SSD. Estimated delivery said 15-23 November if I recall correctly.

With student discount: A bit over 2700€

So now they have 13’ 2015 MBP, 13’ 2016 MBP and 13’ MBP with Touch Bar. I bit crowded lineup I would say :p

I'm really thinking about a maxed out 15" 2015 if they drop the price to clear them out.
I'm about £400 short for the new one I wanted :(

Its pretty f'd up how apple throws all these new graphics cards onto the macbook pro and dont even bother to go into detail

Well now, while the idea of the touch bar seems nice, and is growing on me, i have to say I am disappointed, no SD card, no magsafe, no tactile function keys (I have to look down to make sure I'm hitting he right f key) and they raised the price.

I guess that's one way to reverse the shrinking profits - raise the price.

I have to say, I'll be taking a pass on the MBP

Given whats on offer versus the pricing, it will be a hard call, gut feeling is to go with the new Surface Book with beefed up dGPU & battery as it offers significantly more utility for the price point. 15" MBP at this price should be equipped with a 512 SSD by default, then again Apple wants you to buy space in the cloud. The 512 is $2800, exactly the same as the new 512 SB with Power Base, the MBP can be spec`d with a 460 for another $100

The MBP was over priced previously, more so now, unless the Touch Bar can significantly improve my workflow and that very much remains to be seen.

Guys, there's also the apple care to add :D:D:D:D:D
Damn, entry 15 inch MPB 2700€ that's insane

I saved up more than one year waiting for the 13", now that it's here I'm doubting it ....

looks like they kept the old style pro's around and just swapped in the TB3 ports. Still a bloody arm and a leg.
