Prediction for the March keynote:
  1. iPhone 5sesafkugföi

What a lovely beautiful name.
Can't wait to see its presentation.

Meanwhile...
At this point, if the claimed March Event is going to happen, maybe Apple should like.. wake up?
Like sending invites, or making some kind of advertising?
It would be not so fair coming up like "Yo we're Apple, next week we have an interesting events about new products!
Sorry we didn't tell you before, but, you know. We're Apple."

Apple usually sends out invites 7 - 10 days before the event.

We probably won't see invitations until at least two weeks from now.

God if thats coming true, I'm gonna switch.
A once so popular company is totally messing up today and looses more and more believers.....and at the same time, the same company is concentrating their efforts on watches, bands and.....flying cars? It's no surprise that more and more people are switching to the dark side nowadays....or is it the new light side?

I believe there is no light at all in a multi-billion-corporations owned world.
It's all just the other side of the same, old, grimy, greedy coin really.

I guess Im switching to Dell XPS 15 if theres no new MBP in March event.
The Dell is a wonderful machine,
just Windows is, despite lots and lots of improvements, still clunky as I experienced firsthand last week.

Simple things (that I havent found in Windows yet) like Mac OS showing the last 5 folders you've been in when opening or importing a file cuts clicks and thus worktime tremendously when you're shuffling hundreds of files into brochures on a daily basis like me.

After not checking this forum for weeks i came back...
200 pages and she said still no legit rumors????

LOL Thank god i already bought my 15" rmbp in January for almost half the price.

So much for waiting for bull****.

If they sold the current top end rMBP at half price in the UK I'd buy one tomorrow..any links?

Gorgeous machine! I still use Windows everyday and I like Win 10 but it's just so annoying compared to OS X. The XPS gets a little too expensive when adding the QHD display but then again so is buying a brand new Mac. If the refurbs weren't so discounted, it would be hard to justify buying a new Mac without being able to expense it.

There is a probability of macbook pro 13 in March but almost sure that Apple wait for Polaris for the 15 inch so no 15' before June.

The thing is, from Apples Perspective, waiting on the 15" makes sense.

The CPU upgrade for the 15" (even though its behind a gen and still on Broadwell) isn't that large. And since it has a discrete GPU, there is little point in refreshing the 15" now. They could give a slightly better CPU (and a much better GPU on the base model) but no better discrete options really exist. So what would be the point of upgrading the 15" now? Id argue they SHOULD wait until Polaris is ready. If there wasnt a better discrete option coming they might as well go ahead now, but there is. And they would def want to offer it.

The 13" doesnt have that problem. It doesnt use discrete GPU's, and its updated chips are good to go. They cant really do much more with the 13" by waiting till June.

So I guess the question is do they release the 13" first, and the 15" later, or hold both back for a redesign?

If we're talking about a redesign Apple will release both 13" and 15" together. So in June. For sure.

If Polaris comes out in June, Apple should incorporate in the MacBook Pro around 3-6 months from then. There never the quickest in implementing new tech. And wouldn't the new iGpu on top of the current dGpu be a nice performance increase?

I think the last two redesigns (unibody and retina) they staggered the launch with the 15" coming 1st and the 13" a couple months later. Also when people say redesign do the just mean adding colors and a smaller bezel or they want a more drastic change?

The 15" isn't on Broadwell, it's still on Haswell. And your rationale for Apple releasing the 13" before the 15" depends on Apple having a dGPU in the next 15" in the first place. Not to rehash pages and pages of posts, but there's at least a reasonable debate as to whether that's likely.

I worded that wrong. I meant to say I know its behind a gen from Broadwell in the 13" (aka haswell). So worded poorly on my part.

I think they kind of have to offer discrete. The 15" without discrete could be considered a downgrade vs the old (Skylake itself isnt a huge difference, maybe ~10%) so Im just not sure I buy them doing away with it.

But who knows!

I think the new Iris Pro 580 is perfect for Apple to make a redesign with lower thermal envelope and leave the dGPU out altogether. A slight improvement over the current model, a lot slimmer chassis, larger profit margin and better battery life.
