Whats the point of 4k on 15 inch ?? Consume more battery and it's hardly to notice difference from 2880 x 1800 on 15''
guys... do you even read the previous comments?!
He wants 4k for a reason. One such reason I explained a couple pages ago.

It's about the usable workspace at native resolution.
4k = native 1080/1200p @2x

In essence it's the retina version of Full HD.
The current rMBP supports scaling to that... but it looks like **** compared to its non-scaled native resolution.

not worth the scarifies that comes with this... If you want to just watch youtube and browse few web, then yeah. But for people who uses for other powerful softwares, i really hope apple does not do this.

It just shows sizes and prices, the specs would be comparable to today's options in terms of processors and speed. Read the original post.

According to the rumors June is more likely. Let's hope that Apple will surprise us.....

in four days this will be the longest period between 15" MacBook Pro releases, ever. I think the 13 inch is well beyond that point.

Four freaking days. And of course June would be over a year (which, by the way, has never happened in the past ten years). Why do we do this to ourselves.

it is sure if Apple will not update in march the Macbook pro and only the macbook, Apple is working and testing a redesign macbooks pro for WWDC announcement

rumours about ipad air and iphone 5se are there..if you don't believe them its your problem
[doublepost=1455879258][/doublepost]but we are 99% sure the in march we will see ipad air 3 and iphone 5se and macbook upgrade

siri and touchid makes sense (toucid makes sense only if its in the lid somewhere to be Apple easy-quick to unlock sensation) but the apple pay ?? do you go with your laptop to pay?
the apple watch still is the easiest way to pay, than the iphone

Im curious about putting anything additional on the lid. Apple wouldn't put anything on the rear to take away from the logo, and I'm not sure where there would be space on the screen side, aside from next to the webcam.

That's not going to happen because Touch ID won't just be used to unlock your device. Websites and apps will be able to utilize it to authenticate, just like on iPhone. Apple just added it to unlock notes as well. I can also see games taking advantage, like Blizzard games.

If they do give us a home button, it would add a whole new layer to the MacBooks; they'd feel more familiar to an iPhone or iPad.

Apple Pay still makes sense because of the amount of online shopping people do. You can still connect Apple Pay, so that no matter what device you have, you're good to go.

Sorry you want 4k to scale down to 1200p ? So mabye you want just 1200p on 15'' (good enough)

I don't think we'll see TouchID in a MacBook too soon. There is just no place on the device where it would work, except maybe integrated to the trackpad, centered, at the bottom. But, if the built-in trackpad would gain TouchID, the Magic Trackpad would also have to, as would the Magic Mouse. This didn't happen, and I assume we won't get new models of the peripherals very soon. Apple will most likely make TouchID work over continuity / handoff, where you'd have to unlock the protected content by using your phone. And that would be a software feature, with no additional hardware required. As would Siri.
And Apple Pay / NFC on a Mac? Pulling out your 15'' in a store to place it on the terminal? That's the stupidest thing I read in this thread, which I have been reading since the early 50s.

Apply Pay is not just about NFC terminals. It's also a PayPal-like service allowing you to purchase things online. It's not surprising you don't know about this, as merchants have been slow to support it.

Curiously though there hasn't been any part leaks for any of the devices. Processors for the MacBook and 13" Pro are available, with 15" recently made available. A March event without any Mac updates seem lackluster. A new iPad, watch and 4" iPhone just isn't exciting for most and hardly enough to warrant an event. I'm still banking on March and WWDC will feature previews of the next Mac OS and iOS.

If theres no mbp update during march event, i'm done with the "waiting"
ive been waiting since november and need it for work.

But i just cant imagine buying a 2015 model in 2016...

I've been waiting since October myself. Too late now to buy the current model. Besides, here in Canada, there has been no price drop at all - $1549 for the base 13", 128gb!

The MacBook got a USB-C port, but the Skylake iMacs didn't get USB-C nor TB3 ports. It isn't uncommon for Apple to introduce a new technology in 1 product and then release it on their other devices.
