Bad thing is they still test designs and hardware. May 12 + 3 weeks for new tests and approvement (in best case scenario) somehow could be possible. Back in a days we thought "wow, they had so many time to test and to design new look and internal work" and probably they did, but not with these new components. I think they have got the components according to the queue (and not to the Apple's status as before) and they make compatibility tests etc only now.

According to the latest information, they can show us new laptops on the screen and maybe the chosen prototype in hands during WWDC 2016 but we will see models later in summer or in autumn. They did similar thing with Apple Watches as far as I remember. So they will have 4 weeks starting from May 12. Quite a challenge for big manufacturer.

Me, having taken a week off this thread, and just glancing back through the last ~10 pages:

This thread looks exactly like the Britney Spears one on Popjustice, with people endlessly tagging Serban and begging for information. Will it have Touch ID? What's the battery time? How large is the screen? You know, with three very different prototypes being around?

I'm just speculating!

I bet Jony would also remove some of her ribs to give her a sleeker shape, because let's face it, ribs are like full-size USB ports...so 2012!

I bet she'd only come with one "port".
How boring.

EDIT: You guys beat me to it.
Might bring some adapters for some Britney-Interaction.

EDIT AGAIN:
See, she once already went for that "clean, smooth" look that's so trademarky for Apple...

We wouldn't even know it if we saw it, thats the unfortunate part. I mean, someone could create a new handle and post a legit photo of the new macbook, "about this mac" info and people still wouldn't believe them unless it Ming, Cook or Jesus.

We might, I mean if someone gave specifics of a component, an improvement etc - we'd know soon enough after the MBP announcement?

yes but keep in mind it is in El Capitan in specifics situations for both of them. but again it should be % with the real life usage and current model is with 96% battery life
