Waiting for Skylake MBP thread

Seriously Surface Book looks amazing,Apple must pull up their socks and release the redesigned MBP's.
They did forgot to mention this though:
128GB / Core Intel i5 - 8GB - $1499
256GB / Core Intel i5 - 8GB - $1699
256GB / Core Intel i5 - 8GB / dGPU - $1899
256GB / Core Intel i7 - 8GB / dGPU - $2099
512GB / Core Intel i7 - 16GB / dGPU - $2699
I thought the dGPU came with every model. This is not the case. Plus, to get that 2x the performance of the MacBook Air you need to spend more than $2K, putting the Surface Book in rMBP 15" territory in terms of price. But still, the rMBP 15" would smoke this.

Surface Book - Likely a Skylake U
Statements regarding % faster than:
They said the Surface Pro 4 is "50% faster than the Macbook Air"
They said the Surface Book is "50% faster than the Macbook Pro"
Got it now?

Pricing of the Surface Book looks pretty ridiculous to me.
Apple does need to get off their buts and get a real refresh of the MBP out though.
After so much time waiting for a retina Air and then they give us that RMB that nobody asked for. Time to make amends Apple.. A 14" RMB with skylake and another port would help too.

According to the specs:
6th Gen Intel Core m3, i5, or i7
Looks to me like it's available with both M and U CPUs.

I wasn't really looking at the Surface Pro. No interest in it personally.
$1499 with all the specs they listed during the presentation of the Surface Book caught my attention. But then the pricing.. No thanks.

Well most people don't have $2200 to shell out just for daily web surfing. They can just get a good tablet and do that.

So these are 15W Skylake-U with GT3e? They were rumored for January 2015 in two variants but they were never announced by Intel.

I can't even pretend. Microsoft brought the heat. I did say I would try a Microsoft laptop if they made one. I like the Surface Book not too much a fan of it's design but for a first generation product it's good.
I'm loving this. Let's see what Apple comes up with.

In the 13" MBP After having a 15" for the last 5 years. (I remember being in the "Waiting for Arrandale" thread) It's time for something a little more portable. I have a desktop for intensive tasks.
