I hope so, but at the moment there are no suitable AMD GPUs, and I don't see Apple switching again to nVidia.Or at time a faster dGPU for the enthousiasts.
Maybe in five months they will make a decent update...

And then you can remove the pro moniker....I can’t believe it. Haven’t you guys heard about external GPUs that comes with TB3?

Think about the following:
- 15 rMBP with redesigned (thin) body with Skylake i7 and Iris Graphics Card (not Iris Pro): it can support one/two external monitor with ease.
For those extreme users:
- external GPU gives huge power.
And then you can remove the pro moniker....
Definetly not.... but we are talking about removing a "decent" video card...he is suggesting to use an Iris instead of Iris Pro....if that is not a step down...i dunno what it is ...Did you think the same when they removed the superdrive?
Next week … iMac 4K ... I guess that's allnext week, folks. don't buy.

Are you expecting an event ? There were no invitation and they usually are sent 2 weeks in advanceWhen the Macbook came out last year, did we have any leaks then? I can't remember...
It could be possible that they're releasing iMacs and the "One more thing"... Wouldn't that be awesome![]()
And they said no more event in 2015..... one would think a redesign with a new chip is worthed at least a presentation... now a silent update could bring Broadwell quad core to the 15" but don't see Skylake + redesign without a keynote. Are you expecting an event ? Presenting the Apple Duo Mid 2015!If Apple really does anything with external GPU‘s then they will be integrated in a new 4K monitor.

This is what I was looking for, thanks for clearing this up. Then we're definitely seeing an update in March-ish.There were leaks for several months before the MB was officially released. Mark Gurman had every detail on it nailed months before release; the only thing he incorrectly predicted was its name.

Given the nature and size of the supply chain now, there is virtually no way Apple can release a completely redesigned MBP without leaks of some sort well in advance. Only spec bumps are possible.

Apple has also been working on faster versions of the 5K 27-inch iMac line and new laptops with the latest Intel chips, but it is currently unclear if those are ready for debut next week as well.
All I'm saying is Dell updated the xps 15 with skylake ! Apple cannot update because of Iris Prowhy would you need iris pro when you have gtx 960m? (xps 15)
The new xps seems very competitive.

So there may be a slight possibility of new MBP I guess.![]()
Interesting indeed but still don't think a silent release of MBPs will happen. One thing is for sure though, Mark Gurman hits the jackpot 9 out of 10 times. From 9To5Mac article (http://9to5mac.com/2015/10/08/apple-tv-ipad-pro-october-november/#comments)
