The Macbook Pro 15" of 2015 can easily drive it at Full HD with 120 fps over an external Display. Even 4k with 20-30 fps is possible. ;-)
See BelowAt the rate they are going, they might skip it and go to Kaby Lake.
The Kaby Lake Chips releasing in 2016 will not be suitable for a Macbook Pro. Intel does not just release every variant of a processor family all at once. Skylake chips started coming out last year, but suitable chips for Macbook Pro have only been available for a few weeks. It is extremely likely that the same will happen with Kaby Lake.
The one with no dGPU?
I know it can drive a display, but can it drive it decently, and edit 4K videos and such?
I hope Tim Cook is reading this topic right now...
So couldn't apple just announce the laptops today and take preorders another day? hence the store not being down today?
Possibly. And for all we know, the Apple store might not need to be "down" while it is refreshed with new products. Perhaps Apple has some new technology that allows them to update the store without pulling it offline.

Actually the people all over the world are waiting for a redesigned Macbook Pro today.I'm wondering, is there another place on the internet where people like us are waiting for the new MacBook Pro, or are we the only community where everybody comes to?
kk, source?Ah by the way:
You can expect the following things for macOS 12
- New finder options for more comfortable organizing docs and other files
- Siri Support for Macs
- New revamped Apple Maps app
- New Wallpapers
- New iCloud features.
- Improvements to the Handoff Feature.
- OLED Bar as a "shortcut-bar"
- Revamped iTunes
- Improvements to the Automator.app
No, it was with the AMD Radeon M370x. I dont know about the iGPU config. I know that an Iris Pro 6200 (iMac 21" Late 2015) can handle LOL easily at 60 - 120 fps on Full HD.
well, thats pretty expected. we knew there would be beta software releases today
Very true, but I would've thought if we were going to see hardware as well today, the main store bit would be down too.well, thats pretty expected. we knew there would be beta software releases today

I guess it doesn't really mean much, as we may still see an announcement without release.
(straws... grasping...)
Apple saw us last time, drooling. They've found a new way to hide the new MBP's announced today, right? Right?!30 minutes to go... The store is still up. See you all in Sept/October.![]()
