I'm scared of Apple not announcing any new MacBook Pros this year... If they end up choosing to hold out on the refreshes until next year, I hope they at least say something about it instead of leaving us in the darkness like they are doing right now.

Best we might get is analysts shaking the AAPL tree on earnings call?
They've responded to press outcry over issues. Score - maybe it hasn't got a big enough issue for PR to address?

Apple has given heads up before (eg nMac Pro) which wasn't against their "not talking about future products" line.

Would be funny if they just skipped Skylake and went to Kaby Lake.
So what's the expected delay. Etweengirst Kaby Lake CPU and one compatible with a new MBP? Same 14nm process - so wouldn't a lot of the delay in getting yields etc be sorted?

I don't know. But I can't see them waiting till next year.
After all, we do have one (lol) leaked picture. And their laptop sales are falling quite a bit, no?
I know Tim wants everyone and their grandma on the iPad Pro. But until those get more power and capability to do everything a laptop can, it's not gonna happen. Instead people will, probably, switch over to the competition.

Oh yeah.
Get rid of that damn Lake.
Shall we start speaking about coffee?
I love coffee.
I love my burr grinder and espresso machine. F those automatic machines everyone is so obsessed about

Macs will be released with Sierra. I'd even go as far and predict same day as iPhone 7. The update is rather small so they have plenty of time to showcase all their new tools (Macs) to make use of programming in Swift which was also a strong point in the WWDC keynote.

Cant code on iPads after all.

Since Kaby fill fit the same socket as Skylake there will be an easy upgrade in mid 2017.

But when you mentioned "antiquated ports" it reminded me we haven't seen Oppenheim in quite a while. Did he just get bored of trolling or what?

After all the rhetoric he spouted about only accepting the newest laptop of the highest quality, usb-c only, future proof only, insulting anyone who wanted anything different from his master plan; he goes and buys a 2 year old laptop that, by his standards, is completely inadequate and will be antiquated in about 2-3 months, with no usb-c ports.

It was honestly one of the highlights of this thread for me.

The sheer irony gave me only the greatest of pleasures. Like the delicate, sweet smell of a white rose on the pulchritudinous shoreline of Spiaggia Rosa during the summer solstice.

Thanks for the entertainment Opp. Keep it classy.

Who the hell comes up with names like Kaby Lake and Coffee Lake? Is that on purpose to confuse everybody so we don't even know what IS the latest product?

Oh wait, I just remembered iPhone SE exists parallel to 6s and that Macbook Air is thicker and heavier than Macbook. Nothing to see here, move on. And get me a cappuccino.

Dude, these are NOTHING! Try to find the latest stable and compatible versions of the different part of a Java EE stack, then come back to me and bitch.

Hi there,

Could you develop a bit why the Retina Macbook was a big step down from the Macbook Pro?

Just the oomph of it. I can barely run a flash game (I know, I know. Flash, Safari...) Everyday tasks can be a real struggle at times.

Sorry but cant confirm this part.

The 2012 13" retina and classic have the same Cpu (Ivy Bridge) and DDR3-Ram. Main difference was the very fast SSD (back in 2012) and of course the Retina Screen.

Least on mine, nothing lags beside iTunes Even older games like SC2 or D3 run fine (at lowest settings of course - the HD4000 certainly was not the strongest )

I think he's referring to the newly released retina macbook...
