The scenes in this thread when they announce a new range of Rose Gold Powerbeats and dont even mention Macs. Absolute carnage :D
what i find funniest is that you're probably right! i can't wait!!
i'm basically on this thread for its dark bitter humor, not really in for a purchase, yet :D

WTF , who cares about if is it real or parody, on 13 july he "predicted" the keynote date.
Maybe intel have a kaby lake cpu exclusive for Apple.
Who cares about real genuine italian leather bags, and street vendor ones for $20 a pop, right? they must be the same :D
Who cares about real genuine apple earbuds, we could get ones that work the same for 5 for $2 on eBay, without them breaking within 1 week right?? :DDDDD

im joking :)

With more stuff being added up to the keynote we can certainly say rMBPs will be announced in October.

iOS
tvOS
watchOS
Apple Watch 2
iPhone 7
AirPods
Beats headphones lineup
......and Liam.
Oh and Tim Cook's usual speech about Apple's accomplishments.

Just dropped 3000€ on a MBPr 15" 2,8GHz. I actually do hope this beast is so fast, that the advantage drawn from Kaby Lake processors won't be that big... Well I still might have a chance to get the new one in case they announce and release right away.
Oh, that's not going to happen? Well, I'll be ready for Semester 5 one way or another.

Really can't wait to have it in front of me. The screen of my ~2010 MSI i3 cx720 just died lol. CAN'T ****ING WAIT.

If they can dedicate an entire event to bands, there's never going to be certainty when things will be released. Wouldn't be shocked if the entire event was just the phone/beats.

This brings up a bad memory for me. I was at Pax South last year (2015) and won an Alienware desktop compatible with the external GPU enclosures they were showing.
Turns out I didn't win it anyway, since the small letters said I had to pay taxes to the US. What kind of ******** is that? Where I'm from that sort of small lettering isn't allowed...
Aww man don't tell me that lol. Hopefully I have a slightly better experience.

Thats the sad truth but I still haven't given up hope quite yet (even though I know its pointless). Last years September event ran for nearly 2 hours but they introduced the iPad Pro (along with the Apple Pencil) and Apple TV to go along with the iPhone 6S (which had more new features than a normal "S" model). This year, I just can't see Apple keeping peoples attention for 2 hours by introducing:

- A new iPhone that looks the same as the 2 year old iPhone 6 and doesn't seem to have any new groundbreaking features. (the only upgrade seems to be the camera on the iPhone 7 plus)

- A new Apple Watch that has a couple new features and possibly better battery life but is rumored to retain the same design as the last gen model.

- An overview of iOS 10, TV OS and Watch OS which we have already seen at WWDC (is it just me or was iOS 10 a little disappointing considering it's the 10th iOS)

If that is really all Apple has to show this year, this may be one of the most boring September Apple events in history. As I've said before, if Apple brings the new Macbook Pro to this event, it will at least give them 1 thing to show that's truly next gen and unique.

They're going to re-hash a lot of what's already been done. Look no further then the march Event. What was released? The iPhone SE, which is exactly like the iPhone 6, but smaller. The iPad Pro (9.7"), which is exactly like the 12" variant, only smaller and with a better screen. And watch bands. That event took an hour, so I could see them stretching it to two hours with the actual new Watch (vs just bands), and the new iPhone (the lack of headphone port and new camera on the Plus), and the Beats line.

With education pricing-£1600 for the 15". At the moment in the UK the base 15" is £1599 and £1999 for the high end, before discount of around 10% plus free Beats wireless.

Guys... It will happen next week. It would only take less than 40 min to announce the new macbooks and say "We will Start Shipping the New blah blah macbooks in October"

Atrocious. While Apple's version will certainly be more visually polished, I'll never be convinced to be distracted by having to look DOWN at the keyboard to get stuff done.

Common shortcuts could be interesting, but if they also use it for notifications that could be a rage generator. Imagine pressing what you think is a shortcut just as it gets replaced by a notification, then your screen gets hijacked by safari/email/Horace goes skiing!

Yesterday Notebookcheck.com (German version) had a report on Macbook Pro 13 and 15 alternatives. It more or less proves that the MacBooks are still up-to-date performance wise; and I don't need to mention quality. I already knew that and was ready to buy the exact same model you did. In an earlier posting I already mentioned that I decided to go the Windows route for the next year and bought the ASUS Zenbook Pro with similar performance at half the price. Well a little bit more than this because I upgraded the SSD, but you get the idea. Working in a Windows environment, this decision was not that hard. No more Parallels VM and Bootcamp if you're on the right platform.

For those who are bothered by off-topic contributions: It gets us closer to 1000 pages for October or (maybe) next year :)

That and other reasons. First, Tim Cook isn't following him, while he follows all the other senior personnel that are on (verified) twitter. Also, he wouldn't leak details via comments like 'who likes dongles'.
But Tim LOVES dongles. And humps. And bumps.

Personally I am looking forward to seeing how much time is devoted to The Huge EU Injustice.
