Waiting for Skylake MBP thread

I am sure I am not the only one who is underwhelmed by the new macOS. Every update since snow leopard has had minor incremental updates and iOSifycation of the OS.

Sierra .0 is unstable, just like all of its predecessors at .0. They don't want to release their new baby on a .0 version. The early Sierra release is basically an open beta test.
 
People saying that we should not have expected a mac announcement today have become extremely jaded. It has been over 400 days since the MBP was marginally updated. We should absolutely expect more from a company that expects so much of its customers. Many of us have spent years buying into apples ecosystem and use macbook pros and mac pros for work related purposes. Being this far behind on technology is costing us time and money, switching to windows will also cost time and money. For them to completely ignore such a huge segment of their customer base for so long is insulting and disrespectful.

Also I think its important to note that even if apple releases a MBP tomorrow it will most likely have subpar specs and not be updated again for an even longer period of time. Apple has shown time and time again they simply do not care about computers anymore. What they do care about is selling outdated phone tech to people that can subsidize the cost of said tech through their phone carriers.

I swear the entire mac community has battered person syndrome, constantly making excuses for apple when apple abuses/disrespects this community over and over again.

I need a GIF of a dog chasing it's tail and then panting eagerly into the camera. Over. And over. And over again. Can anyone set me up with that? Kind of sums up what we've been doing here...

I'd also settle for a Bill Murray in Groundhog Day meme.

When you use a DSLR it is not always about the size, rather about the options. i can do so much more than i will ever be able to with a iPhone.

I understand that i have a dslr also. But these are two totally different experiences. You can't compare a full camera to a phone camera. This is a big step up in camera quality for a phone. Something i use 90% more often

The only thing that I can be happy that there is no MacBook Pro, is the fact that with the new AirPod headphones, they didn't announce the rMBP, and say "The AirPods will work seamlessly with all of your new Watch Series 2s, iPhone 7s, and new MacBook Pro." WE GET BACKWARDS COMPAT, of course they'll be BT4.x but god if they would have made a new protocol only for all new devices I wouldn't never get them... whew... Apple is kinda sick like that...
