Oh come on, I expected more hysteria than this, where are all the outrage posts they didnt release the MBP???

I suppose the best is yet to come though, when they don't set any event for October and people realise we are waiting til March lol

I meant, I prefer seeing that over 'Pokeyman', mario, and the other weird game, the awkward women with her iWork collaboration and the nike dude...

Either way, that video is trying to wow you with flash and colors (I'm looking at you jet black), not capabilities. It's all about the surface impression with Apple now. No substance.

I am telling you it's the fact that they are trying to get Thunderbolt 3 working with Skylake, and might jump to Kaby Lake! See the whole thing is: ...

too soon?

New MBP in October thanks to Sierra release 20. September
IF they had an event for Mac planned for October, I'm pretty sure they would keep the Sierra release for the event. It's common sense.
In my opinion there are two options now:
1. Spec upgrade for some products in September along with Sierra release and June for previewing the new oled MacBook Pro's with some exclusive features in the new macOS

2. March for kaby lake 13" and MacBook and again June for 15"

Can't believe they're planning such a major release in a month without a single leak or news.

They are. trust

Nope. If they gave even one **** ... they would have done a 'mid-term' update of storage, prices, clock speed bumps - SOMETHING in the past 16 months. Instead - nothing.

They will of course release a new MBP at some point, and some, like you - will cheer. But your cheers will soon die when you realize that ALL macs will get the same treatment as the current Mac Pro, one nice update ... then deathly silence for years.

Could there be another event this month, shortly after the Sierra release? Or maybe early October, at least I hope. It seems really strange to me that they haven't even talked about the Mac at all(the iPad didn't get any attention either).

To me it seems like Apple has gotten into too many product categories. They can't possibly have so many categories and still only have 3/4 events/year. I get that they're pushing the watch as much as possible, but all the time I was watching the event and they showed the press and other people that were invited, all I saw were MacBook Pros on their laps. It's clear to me that this machine, more than all Macs perhaps is what keeps all the other platforms going(through apps that are developed for iOS, watchOS and tvOS), yet Apple has completely neglected it for more than a year.

I don't even want anything groundbraking, a slightly newer design, new gen CPUs and GPUs and higher base storage capacity. If this is too much to ask for when I plan on spending around 2000$ on it, then I guess Apple really doesn't give a damn about the Mac and that's fine for now perhaps, but in a few years it's going to bite them in the ass harder than they could ever imagine!

....or at least a price drop. Selling a one and a half year ago product at the same price of the day-one is really absurd.
