We have been noticing this for a couple of days for sure.

All i'm hoping is that it's a bit more than just a 8th gen refresh but also.. A new screen (updated panel from LG), taptic engine on the touch bar, quad core 13" coffee lake and most importantly butterfly keyboard v3
I really hope so too. Only like 10ish days left on this over 2 year journey for me (I hope)

All on sale here - but this happens often. iPad Pro is too though that is rare.
Yah I would have bought last years model or the year before’s but my 2012 was still “functioning” and I didn’t have pressing need. My 2012 broke in februaryish so I need a computer now and waited til wwdc because I knew this was coming and I was able to borrow a 2010 Air in the interim. Plus my desktop is a beast just not portable so I can get by without being tempted by the sales.

Edit: I actually did buy the 2016 twice and it broke so I returned it

I just did a config to order of a MacBook Pro. Ships in 2-4 business days.

BTW, somebody mentioned the same thing for the MacBooks this morning. So this morning I tried a config to order of a MacBook and it said shipping in 1-3 business days.

Yeah, dunno. Just tried custom configuring a 15" MBP, and the stock high-end is available for pickup near me, but if I do a BTO and bump the processor up, it says June 6.

I suppose it's possible that stock is indeed dwindling and the BTO/CTOs that I did just happened to be for models which are still in stock.

Or else it's all just wishful thinking. ;)

Either way though, I don't think we can use this as a definitive gauge, and either way I still think there are new models of the MacBook Pro and iMac coming at WWDC. Not so sure about the MacBooks though. I'd bet against it for the MacBooks actually.

I had the Blade Stealth and having to deal with their support, turned to be the worse 3 months of RMA In my life... But outside of that and the cheap materials they use on the laptop it's not a bad choice

Yeah I heard that quality and reliability have been big issues for them with that and other models. I hope they get better because I want Apple to have some competition. I honestly don't know why more companies don't do more to chase Apple.

If the new 15" Blade had an SD card reader instead of the antiquated DisplayPort it'd be almost perfect for me on paper. Build quality and support is another matter and this is the big concern I'd have in going for a niche brand like Razer.

I just saw some first looks at the new razer blade and that thing looks very very tempting and can possibly feed my laptop want/need. I am trying to still hold out to see what is talked about at the apple conference but wow. they really fixed what i hated about the last laptop which was the screen.

Damn, looks like they still insist on putting that over-the-top "144 Hz" and "4K" branding above the screen. This is what I mean about companies not chasing Apple. Who in their right mind would want or need that? As an owner I think I'd be pretty sure what screen I've got without having it constantly screamed at me. It completely detracts from the aesthetic and is only there as advertising to attract people in a shop, but Razer don't typically sell in retail shops anyway, so go figure.

I wouldn't mind at all if Apple were to lead the way with HDR and higher refresh rates, though I agree that they can keep the print off the case.

It is different in various countries ATM, but what is most striking is that if there is a delay, its always the 4th-6th of June. I'd say its a sure hint that new models are coming. Its always like this before new releases, the dates begging slipping shortly before the announcement and then suddenly you have new models. I'm a bit surprised that Macbook 12" also has the same patterns, there are no CPUs to upgrade it with ATM?

With the 12” MB they can always offer new configurations alongside the MBPs if there aren’t new chips available for it - either cutting the price or offering more for the same price. One relatively easy change would be making the base a core i5 (Y) as it’s not really any more expensive to manufacturers than the m3.

Agree. Where I am it shows standard models available immediately, but any kind of upgrade says June 4th-5th. That is unusual - normally, it would not be so specific and would say 2-3weeks for example

In germany too also for the 13“. Only the cheapest 13“ MacBookPro is available here. Maybe the cheapest MBP will stay and they will reduce the price and they will show us new MBPs at WWDC.

No they just push the date out past the introduction for the new models, as a kind of subtle wink and nod to those in the know and to deter some who don’t...

What they have done in the past for refreshes, and what they did last year, was while they were available to order the day they were announced they would not arrive for several days later. I think the Apple stores started getting the new standard builds later that week, early the following week.
