I feel slighted for because of this. I am curious though. For those people that are getting theirs today when did you place your order? I am wondering if the first come first served line is just bs and they are doing it at random.

I want to call fake..but I know its probably real-- super cool.. I doubt I could have a)taken a pic b) posted it c) cared enough to do so once it was in my hands.

Nice -- want to see the unboxing :) also -- go ahead...stick your nose in the box and smell --- mmmmmmmmm

I took a short video of the "un-boxing" and navigation of some of the familiar standard apps. It's mostly detailing the google maps and how much smoother it is. I'm uploading the videos now and will post the links shortly.

First impressions (most of which you all have probably read before):

  • Much faster then 3GS between apps and usage of standard apps (safari, google maps, and even the IM).
  • The display is very crisp and clear. The screen doesn't seem as "washed out" with more vibrant colors, but looks to be a bit darker.
  • Activation was painless with itunes 9.2. Took about 3 minutes and instantly disconnected my 3GS from AT&T's network when it was finished.
  • The phone itself seems heavier, even though it doesn't have a case on it. It is much slimmer than my 3GS and personally I like the flat surface in the back as compared to the beveled one of the previous generations.

Your USB sync cable looks a little different than the one that came with my iPad. The computer-side plug is different

Congrats! That is awesome! I wonder why mine is still stuck in Memphis since 12:29 AM.

My tracking info still shows:

Jun 22, 2010 11:53 AM Int'l shipment release ANCHORAGE, AK

But I got the email saying I'm getting it tomorrow... hopefully it's true!

mine doesn't work yet either! that's what I came here for hoping I wasn't the only one.. I want mine on the 23rd to lol

I ordered my 32g from AT&T retail store and my tracking number is NOT FOUND.

But I just checked my bank and AT&T's charge of 318 is processing so they are taking my money. Just wish the dam tracking number would work!!!

Takes a while sometimes. Might not be until tomorrow morning that it shows something different. And it could jump all the way to Out for Delivery.

Me too. I bet it'll be on FDX9168 to Memphis and then FDX1570 from Memphis to Albany. Crossing fingers. There's only about an hour overlap, give or take, in Memphis looking at the past history of those two flights.

Yay Finally shipping info came up about 2 hours ago! And its overnight shipping so i am receiving it tomorrow. I am soo happy i have been worried for long because it always said in progress and date says 6/16 when i ordered on 6/15

About 30 flights just left Memphis. Fedex orders are on these flights, check your tracking now.

Find your destination airport here: http://flightaware.com/live/airport/KMEM/departures

It's not scheduled yet, I don't think, but searching for KMEM --> KALB yields this: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/FDX1570

Seems to run early every morning.

9168 is in Anchorage now, scheduled to depart at 6:38pm EDT for Memphis. I bet, for those of us showing "Intl shipment release", we'll be seeing our tracking info update around that time showing departure from Anchorage.
