My tracking info from last night changed from Alaska, to memphis and now to Boston this morning, that was in a span of like 10 hours not even, so everyone keep refreshing cuz it just updated for me about 10 min ago.
I don't even care about having expectations not being met-I always expected to receive it on Thursday. Then, I get an email saying it'll be a day early. Great! My biggest gripe is that, IMO, FedEx is the WORST when it comes to doing the only thing they do-deliver packages. I never have items shipped via FedEx unless there is no choice, and then I have them shipped to my office since there is actually someone there to sign for them. The problem I've had with them time and time again is that, despite whatever waivers I've signed, it's still up to the "driver's discretion" whether or not they leave it. I've asked them what the point of having a waiver is if they won't honor it, and the answer has basically been 'meh'. So, having no choice but to have it delivered via FedEx AND being forced to have it sent to my house, I've now got to somehow arrange to be there. That's fine if I know when it's coming. Except, now, I'm not sure. And picking it up after a failed delivery attempt really isn't an option either, since I won't know it's failed until they update their system, and the facility where I have to pick it up is an hour away. Couple that with the fact that it's usually close to their closing time before I even KNOW it's going back, it makes for a complete disaster of a shipping experience. One more here who won't receive it today. Even though I got the email from Apple about today's delivery. I still don't get why Apple felt they needed to send that email, knowing that they were totally dependent on a third party (Fedex) to deliver. Why don't simply let Fedex do their thing, if delivered on the 23rd, then fine, if not, then the 24th. Why set people's expectations for a date, and then fail. The whole thing has been so poorly done. It does not even look like Apple.
I just called Fedex and they confirmed there is no possible way they are delivering today.![]()
Good morning all! I got my email from Apple stating delivery will occur on 6/23. Fedex shows it still at the Philadelphia depot. I called Fedex about this issue and they politely told me tough s***, it won't be delivered until the 24th. Is anyone else expereiencing this with shipments coming through Philadelphia?
what ship date does your fedex tracking number say with the estimated delivery? the 23rd or the 24th?

I just got off the phone with Fedex, At first the guy said Apple sent out an email with incorrect information on it. I (not so politely) reminded the guy that the last package they delivered to me was from Apple, and that it had been expedited on route, so if they weren't going to deliver it today, it was NOT Apple's mistake it was theirs. I also reminded him that it had been at a semi-local facility since 11:30 last night, and it certainly was physically possible for it to have been delivered today, so again, if they weren't going to deliver it, it was their screw-up.
He then put me on hold for a few minutes and came back saying, oh they had made an announcement that he hadn't heard and that he had gotten updated tracking information and that it was out for delivery. Who knows whether that's actually the case or not, but it does illustrate exactly how deep their heads are in their asshats.
The major points you should take away from this post are that 1. Apple can, and routinely does, change delivery instructions while packages are on route to their destination, and that they certainly wouldn't have sent that email if they weren't confident it would happen. 2. Fedex tracking information is not always accurate. 3. Fedex are a bunch of asshats.
Mine came an hour ago, and FedEx's tracking system still shows it at the local sorting facility and claims it will come tomorrow.
Looks like all of us crashed FedEx's servers, just like we crashed AT&T's last week! Seems the phones are actually coming today as promised.
