I came from 5/5s. I super Love the 7+! And I like it much on my Levi's 511 front pocket.

I wear Levi's 501's and it looks and feels like a brick in the front pocket. Can't even bend down or walk up the stairs comfortably. And I wear my 501's tight with no belt. Maybe cause 501's sit at the waist vs 511's sit below the waist, that could make a difference.

Played with a co-workers Google Pixel. That's the sweet spot. Wish the iPhone 7 was that size and form factor.

the 5 inch Pixel you mean?

I'd be keeping an eye on that Pixel phone, as well. Google is formidable--and just as cool as Apple. Well, maybe not just as cool (that's still Apple's strong suit). But Google can challenge Apple where it matters: technology. Cool only lasts through the first couple of disappointing products, as the iPhone 7 and, I would argue, the 6S series are.

First reviews of Pixel put it up there or ahead of the 7 Plus. I have to get my hands on one and try it.

If I were to get an Android it would be a bonafied virgin Android like the Pixel. I'm too deep into Apple ecosystem.

5 inches is a very ideal size. Not too small and not too big.

Yea. The non pocketability of the plus is really really BUGGING the heck out of me. The form factor of a 5" screen would most likely still be pocketable. Yea the plus you can carry in jeans pocket but NOT NOT comfortable even a little bit. Maybe baggy jeans but not the jeans I wear.

Here is a good example of my daughters toy phone compared to my 6S. Apple could fit a 5 inch screen if they reduce the bezels. It's just about the same dimensions as the 6S.

I'm definitely for that. But Apple seems they don't want to get away from the iconic home button.

Just got an iPhone 7+ coming from a 6. Reasons I wanted a plus is because of the camera and larger screen. I sell on eBay and wanted a better camera. I also like to watch a lot of videos.

I'm 5'10" 165lbs slim athletic build. Man the plus is big. I wear my Levi 501's sort of tight and used to putting my iPhone in my back pocket. When I bend down it's very uncomfortable. Tried the front pocket and it's just as uncomfortable. The camera is EXCELLENT with a capitol E. My eBay listing look way better than with my 6 like night and day. I also don't like that I can't use the plus with one hand comfortably. I have to maneuver my hand too much.

Have 7 days left to decide if I'm going to return it. Want to like it but the portability part and hand usage is turning me off. However the camera and large screen to watch videos and movies is simply incredible.

Anyone else been in this situation.
Consider getting a Otterbox Defender Series iPhone 7 plus case. It comes with a very sturdy side belt clip. I use it a lot. It makes a big difference (no pun intended) not having the phone in the front jeans pocket.

I really like my iPhone 7 plus. It does take some adjusting to. After using it, I can't see myself going back to the 4.7".

I don't wear belts so a holster won't work.

Switched back to my 6. Pocket-ability is like night and day. After 10 days of using the plus the 6 feels small but not in a bad way. Yea I agree the 4.7" screen is small but for me not too too small. 5" inch would be the sweet spot.

Why I switched was because we were getting ready to go to a basketball game and the plus wasn't working with my winter jacket. Ended up putting the plus in the side pocket instead of the chest zip pocket or inside chest zip pocket. Usually put jacket on my lap at sporting events. Was wearing a shirt where my 6 fits perfectly in chest pocket without feeling like a brick. Also fit pretty well in my other shirts with chest pocket. The plus was sticking out of chest pocket way too much and felt like a brick. Just ended up putting the plus back in side pocket and keeping jacket on my lap. Don't like this even a little bit.

Couldn't wait to get home and switch back to my 6.

I do miss the features though. The screen size being way down on the list because of non pocket-ability.

Don't mean to be rude or a know it all but the plus isn't a pocket friendly phone for a person who's always on the move. Yes a holster could make that different but...

Going to France next month and want to be able to carry my device with the most comfort as possible. Plus won't work.

I like to have access to my device in fast way without having to be forced to use a holster. The 6 fits in my back jeans pocket without any hitches. I usually keep in my back jeans pocket when I'm doing stuff around the house and walking our dog.

Fits in my front pocket without feeling like a brick.

So I guess for me the most important factor is yes screen size but in conjunction with pocket-ability. Want the biggest screen size that is pocketable comfortably.

I hate the iPhone 7 Plus. Such a disappointment coming from the 6 Plus. It's heavier, thicker, like a brick, really. Has a yellowish tint to the screen (which sucks!). Has really crappy speaker phone quality. So many complaints! The new leather cases are all too slippery--garbage!

I tried to like the stupid phone. Tried 7 or 8 different units. Just a huge waste of time.

Going back to the 6 Plus was such a relief.

The 7 Plus is a failed phone, in my book. Oh, and Apple Music in iOS 10 is a piece of sheet!
Right, because someone actually notices/feels a 0.01 in. difference in thickness that plays a role somehow.

I find that strange as the 6s and 7+ feel the same weight to me. Only thing I had to adjust to was the size and I'm still working on a slim form case that doesn't ruin the jet black. The clear ones are hit and miss.

Yep but it's how you can fit a 5" screen into a phone. The Pixel with it's 5" screen is most definitely the ideal form factor for me. I'm jealous of my co workers Pixel lol.

.30 " larger screen does make a difference, not a huge difference but just enough to make me want a 5" screen in the same form factor as the Pixel.

Give me the Pixel with stock iOS and I would be set!

Return it and get the normal 7. The camera on the 7 is better than the 6s because it has OIS now, that helps with shaky hands. No need to use a tripod or need for standing super still.

The camera on the 7plus is better only if you want to zoom in on super far away objects or want to use the blur effect.

All my shots for eBay are closeups. As far as zooming in on far away objects that might come in handy. We are going back to France next month and I usually take lots of pictures. Thanks!

Is it worth to upgrade from the 6 to the 7? Anticipating the supposed '10th anniversary' iPhone 8.(Still have the original iPhone lol)

Yeah, right. I don't care what some dumb test says. It's damned yellowish to my eyes and damned uglier than the 6 Plus screen.
Do a simple test. Hold your beloved iPhone 6 Plus in one hand and hold a blue tube light in another. After sometime will you start liking the blue tubelight?

I prefer a smaller phone but prefer a larger screen more.

We're about the same build(plus a few more pounds on my side lol) and I can't type one handed and I still feel it looks ridiculous to have a rectangular object protruding out of my pants/gym shorts

Same here. It's not necessarily ridiculous it's not comfortable but it is ridiculous.

I prefer pocket-ability primarily. I do like a larger screen, the sweet spot similar to the Pixel form factor. The .30" larger screen makes a difference.

I had the 6+. Liked the big screen at first, but over the course of the 2 years I used it, I got so sick of the size. Recently got the regular 7 and I love the size so much more. Looking at my 6+ now, I can't believe I used it as my daily phone for over 2 years. Give it some more time and if you still don't like how large it is, I'd swap it for sure.

I think heavy use for 10 days is enough. Like I said in another post I switched back to my 6 for now and going to either exchange for a 7 or keep my 6.

I like the big screen but with the big screen you sacrifice comfortable pocket-ability. I'm on the go most of the day. I have a job where I don't sit at a desk. When I get home most of the time I'm on the go.

I like the fact that the with 6 I can comfortably put the 6 in my flannel shirt chest pocket without it feeling like a brick or sticking out. Same with inside or outside chest pockets on fall / winter jackets. When I'm at the gym fits in my gym shorts. When walking our dog and I get an important text I can easily text with one hand without having to stop walking. Also like it's more quick draw when I need to access my phone when wearing jeans. Just a couple of observations.

Interesting pretty much every 2016 Android phone I've researched so far has a screen size of either equal or larger size but comes in a smaller body or a little larger to the body of the iPhone 7. The Pixel is a good example. Not much bigger than the 7 in form but packs a 5" screen. The screen size of the Pixel is .30" larger than the 7 without making it too much larger than the 7 in form. There's definitely real estate in the 7 to have a larger screen size and keep the same form factor and / or make the form factor similar to the Pixel and use the real estate.

Honestly I'm jealous of the Pixel form factor / screen size. Google nailed it. It's the perfect sweet spot of having a screen that's not too small and not too large geared toward users like myself who want that comfort pocket / portability.

I'm hoping Apple realizes this for the anticipated iPhone 8. Would love to see at the very least the same form dimensions as the 7 BUT using the real estate to the max. From my amateur assessment Apple can add .25" of screen size to the 7 if they use up the real estate to the max.
