I'd like to know how guys are able to say they can carry their plus in their jeans pocket comfortably without it feeling like a brick. Everyone I know who has a plus has to take it out of their jeans pocket to sit down.
i had the plus and the only time i felt like taking it out is when im driving.

On some level this is pretty much what you're working with when you have the plus model.

Every time I convinced myself to get the plus model, I go to the Apple Store, play with it for 5-10 minutes and always think - "Nah, I just can't lug around that huge brick. "

Much like you I am tempted by the bigger, higher resolution screen as well as dual cameras on the 7 Plus. However, there is no way I'm carrying that phone in my pocket. Even less, holding it to my ear.

Think I'll wait for the rumored "Anniversary iPhone", if it ever happens.

I can say that you get used to it but also never forget that it's there. Borderline new appendage lol

Was off work today and was wearing jeans. The weather was nice and kept my iPhone 7 in my back jeans pocket with no issues. Usually don't do that. Was very comfortable When I have the 7 plus it did fit in back jeans pocket but stuck out to much and when I would bend down it fell out a couple times. And to me it doesn't look very nice walking around with something sticking out like that.

I got a 7. Was going to wait but too but AT&T gave me an 'offer I couldn't refuse' to stay as a customer. I have a grandfathered legacy unlimited data plan that I think helped.

Had the Plus. Always felt more than slightly conspicuous holding it to my ear, in addition the bulk of the thing..
Got a 7 now.

If you stop wearing womens jeans the phone fits much better. For me when sitting it sits more of the side of my leg rather than the top. It doesn't bulge and it is comfortable. Taking the phone out while sitting in my car or truck on the other hand is an exercise as the pocket opening is not as large as the pocket itself. I just tried to take a picture of it sitting in the pocket of my slacks at work... but then realized I have no other camera... o_O

I'm a guy and I wear Levi's 501's. 501's aren't woman's jeans but they are slim. I wear my jeans on the tight side around the waist cause I don't like wearing belts. 501's sit at the waist although they are a slim cut and that could be the issue with the plus. My jeans are too tight around the waist / hips for a phone to to sit on one side. Now no I don't wear jeans tight like a woman does. They fit tight around the waist and are snug around the hips and relax a bit at the seat.

No offence, but from the description either you wear oddly cut or baggy jeans which most people probably don't wear these days anymore.

No offense taken. I have decent size quads so most skinny jeans don't make it to my waist. I wear jeans that are snug around the waist and taper to ankles a little but have enough room for legs that are not exactly skinny.

Nothing oddly cut about the jeans, and you would probably be surprised how many places skinny jeans are still not the latest greatest fad. I am just surprised there are still people wearing cargo shorts!

Portability wins, all day, every day. Maybe for extensive travelling and the need for battery I would switch to the Plus.

It's a matter of preference. I'm not saying the plus is too big, I'm saying the plus is too big for me. I was sucked into the 'bigger is better' but realized although having a larger screen size is great I was definitely sacrificing COMFORTABLE portability. The plus I can fit in most of my attire but it wasn't comfortable. Fit in my front jeans pocket? Yea but not very comfortable. Since I wear my jeans on the tight side around waist and hips noticed how uncomfortable it was especially walking my dog. It seems like Levi's 501 pockets sit higher cause the cut is at the waist. I've tried literally all jeans on the market that sit at waist and Levi's 501's are the most slim cut in that category, sort of like in a class by themselves. Now 505's are more relaxed and same with 550's so they might be better with plus comfort portability.

Our son has the plus and he's pretty slim too similar to me but wears different jeans and I have to say the plus fits better in the Lucky Brands he wears. They are somewhat close to the same cut as 501's but the pockets sit farther down. I only wear made in the USA jeans(Levi's) and try to wear made in the USA clothing if I can. I much prefer Levi's 501 1947's because they are slimmer than modern 501's.

I wear 511's and have no problem with my 7+ in either front or back pockets. I put it in my jackets too. No issue when I don't wear jeans either. I hate large "relax" cuts. It feels strange now holding my wife's or daughter's 7 in my hand now that I'm so used to the 7+ size.

Also in my loose gym clothes I definitely can't jump up and down with the plus in my pocket and do not feel comfortable with something that big strapped to my arm. It's distracting and throws me off for sure.

I wouldn't build my wardrobe around a phone. It's the reason I have the regular one. One size fits all clothes.

I hear you. My wardrobe consists of Levi's 501's and they don't work with the plus and I'm not changing fit #'s.

I see way more women / girls with plus than men in my area especially where I work, at a world renown university.

I've seen loads of women using those galaxy notes as well. Probably it's easier for them to carry in the purses.
