I wear my jeans tight and haven't had issues putting my plus in my pocket. Even with the dinky pockets they put on women's pants.

Not saying there are issues putting the plus in my jeans pockets. I'm saying it's not comfortable when you're on the go with the plus in my front jeans pocket.

Just did a test. Still have the plus but using my 6. When I put the plus in my jeans front pocket definitely not comfortable. I have to take it out when I sit or bend down. Also feels like a brick when I walk. The 6 is WAY more comfortable. Don't really have to take it out when I sit. When I walk doesn't feel like I have a brick. From my experience a huge difference in comfort of portability and being pocketable.

I understand and that's what I was responding to. Even with the dinky pockets I haven't found it uncomfortable lol. Maybe the placement of the pocket being higher makes it more comfortable

Yea I wear Levi's 501's that fit at the waist. I'm pretty slim with an athletic build(5'10" /165lbs) and hate wearing jeans that fit below the waist even though I can with my build. Levi's 501 are a sort of a slim pair of jeans that sit at the waist. Never thought about the placement of the pockets.

Ah. I wear the women's 311 they're a mid rise and the pocket kind of sits at the front of my hip area

What you can do is keep the 6 and wait for this years iPhone. It will most likely be smaller with the same or bigger screen.

Yea. Returned the 7 plus today for a 7. Honestly I'm not wow-ed by it like I was going from the 5 to the 6. Probably going to return it and keep my 6 until the anticipated 10th anniversary iPhone 8. I do miss some of the features that I had with the plus but not enough to go from a 6 to a 7.

I wouldn't mind the same form factor as the Pixel with a 5" screen which is not much bigger in form than the iPhone 6 / 7. As long as it's comfortably pocketable.

I had the 6+. Liked the big screen at first, but over the course of the 2 years I used it, I got so sick of the size. Recently got the regular 7 and I love the size so much more. Looking at my 6+ now, I can't believe I used it as my daily phone for over 2 years. Give it some more time and if you still don't like how large it is, I'd swap it for sure.

The plus in my opinion is GREAT if you're lounging around or not on the go. Good for someone who works at a desk and isn't on the go most of the day. Since I work outside and not stationary at my job I'm on the go. When I had the plus I would leave it in my work vehicle when I had to do work which is light to medium duty work. Yea the plus fit in my pockets but when doing light medium work it would either stick out of cargo pants pocket or if I kept in the regular pocket I couldn't push or lift etc. With the 7 it very easily fits in my cargo pocket without sticking out and don't even know it's there. I can even put it in the regular pockets and be able to lift push bend down etc. I prefer the cargo pocket because I can access my 7 'quick draw'.

When I was lounging around at home I have to admit the plus was great. I hardly used my iPad. But I'm always on the go even when I get home from work.

Never had the plus until recently and really thought it was going to work for my lifestyle. Like I said a holster would definitely work but I don't wear belts. And not sure I would like a holster set up if I wore belts.

Just got an iPhone 7+ coming from a 6. Reasons I wanted a plus is because of the camera and larger screen. I sell on eBay and wanted a better camera. I also like to watch a lot of videos.

I'm 5'10" 165lbs slim athletic build. Man the plus is big. I wear my Levi 501's sort of tight and used to putting my iPhone in my back pocket. When I bend down it's very uncomfortable. Tried the front pocket and it's just as uncomfortable. The camera is EXCELLENT with a capitol E. My eBay listing look way better than with my 6 like night and day. I also don't like that I can't use the plus with one hand comfortably. I have to maneuver my hand too much.

Have 7 days left to decide if I'm going to return it. Want to like it but the portability part and hand usage is turning me off. However the camera and large screen to watch videos and movies is simply incredible.

Anyone else been in this situation.

I had exactly the same with the 6S plus - I'm 5'10" and 145lbs and found the plus size to be problematic. It was fine in winter when I wore a jacket and could put the phone in the inside pocket, but it was a real pain with jeans.
The phone itself was brilliant, but the size just got too much for me in the end and I got rid of it for an SE, which is the best thing I ever did: I can carry it in my pocket now without noticing it and it's also far better to carry on a run.

I did get swept up in the "bigger is better" trend and for some things it undoubtably is, but there are always compromises and I decided I'd rather compromise on screen size than have to carry a monster phone around with me all the time

This is exactly why I'll never buy a plus size phone, instead , I invested in a bigger TV for my living room.

I was swept into the "bigger is better" thing. I'm so happy that I switched back smaller. Especially at work. I can quick draw the 7 from my cargo pocket easily and maneuver light medium duty work pretty comfortably without feeling like I'm carrying a brick or having to leave my iPhone in my work truck.

I have the feeling if the camera on the 7 plus was on the standard 7 the 7 would outsell the 7 plus.

For me, being a parent of young children, to have "the best" camera always in my pocket is a big selling point and I'd probably switch from a plus to the non plus 7.

The 7 plus from what I watch is the best smartphone camera but the 7 isn't bad either. That's the reason why I got the plus for my eBay listings. But honestly the 7 does a good job.

Do a simple test. Hold your beloved iPhone 6 Plus in one hand and hold a blue tube light in another. After sometime will you start liking the blue tubelight?

It does not have to be that complicated. As I said, I don't need a test to prove to myself which screen I like better.

Is it worth to upgrade from the 6 to the 7?

Unequivocally: No! I'd throw the 7 out the window if it weren't easier (and less expensive) to just return the stupid thing.

Which basically doesn't mean anything as far as what it means for anyone else.

Yea the plus you can carry in jeans pocket but NOT NOT comfortable even a little bit. Maybe baggy jeans but not the jeans I wear.

The *only* pants that a Plus feels okay in are cargo pants with leg pockets (big enough to hold the phone). Any other pants: forget it. It's a girl's phone--a girl with a purse--or a guy with cargo pants.

The 6 is way more comfortable, but it's still not comfortable. Both of these phones are uncomfortable to carry around, which makes the rationale of going for the Plus a bit more logical. If both uncomfortable=at least get the advantage of the Plus's bigger screen.

In my book, the only comfortable phone I've had was the BlackBerry Curve. Check that out. Even the SE is uncomfortable to me.

The Plus went from bad to worse from 6 to 6S/7, too, with more weight and more width. Add in the ridiculously slippery Apple leather case, and you arrive at: Stupid!

As much as I agree with you on the plus size devices, if you say the SE is uncomfortable then you've got issues.

I agree.

I have the 6S plus and can't say the camera is bad on it either but as far as what is obvioulsy different is the portrait mode feature and optical zoom that isn't possible unless you have a 7 plus.

True but I exchanged the 7 plus for a 7.

um, no.

It fits well in my pockets, I don't wear cargo pants. And it fits well in my jackets or coats.

Yea but I'm referring to comfort. The plus fits in my pockets too but it's not comfortable when I'm out and about. It's probably the type of jeans I wear. Fits in my jackets and coats but for me it's not comfortable when I'm out and about. Like another poster said in my opinion the plus is a girls / woman's device. Good for a purse or pocketbook.

Idk. I actually really hate putting my phone in my purse and having to dig it out every time. Idk how other people do it.

Look for bags and purses with an outer pocket. Some with magnet closure or zipper or drops in securely.

I'd like to know how guys are able to say they can carry their plus in their jeans pocket comfortably without it feeling like a brick. Everyone I know who has a plus has to take it out of their jeans pocket to sit down.

I don't have to. Maybe your friends have small pockets?
