I havent found much time to play games...I'm trying to balance bioshock/warhwak/MP3 and soon heavenly sword in my work overload schedule....I'll see you eddy!

I'm finding it extremely hard to connect to games in the morning to mid afternoon (local time). Around 3 O'Clock my time all of the servers open up, it's like the whole of North America has logged off and gone to bed. Oh well this is the last day of my break from work so it won't make much of a difference to me from now on.

BTW does anyone here actually understand how the ranking system works? I've got just under 800 points but I'm a Wingman?!?!?!!

The ranking system is a bit "off" right now. According to the game ive only played for 41 minutes, and my stats haven't updated since the 1st. At one point i ranked up and had medals, then i lost them and went back to the recruit rank again. They are actively working on the rank server.

You can also check ranks and the above info in the profile page under ranks, just scroll around and you will see the requirements.

I understand the ranking system from my profile but my question is - what the hell is actually going on? Everyone I speak to is ranking up, none of us have the points required. According to the official rankings I shouldn't even be a seargent yet, but I got to seargent on the 2nd day I played. Then my stats screwed up and didn't update for a week, and when they finally did I had ranked up 2 more levels. I had received the required medals/ribbons _BUT_ these dissappeared when my stats came back, but I had still ranked up.

Oh well I guess it'll make sense one day <cough> patches </cough>.

They are working on the stats server, sorry if I didn't say that before :) In fact on Friday you couldn't even login to the game for a time-frame as they were doing maintenance on the SQL servers that the stat servers use.

They are aware of the stat issue and are working to fix it. I'm just playing with my friends/clan for fun and can care less about the stats.

So I had Ed trying to team kill me....caught me by surprise but I got him 3 times...LOL...3 to 1 eddy.

This guy actually trap me inside a bunker with the warhawk....everytime I try to come out he would throw everything that warhawk had at me...lol...same team ed!:D

Seems like you guys were out to get me.....came outta nowhere to take me out:D

lol well I was thinkin you might be on my team but when I saw you weren't..... ;)

One thing I don't get is the ranking system. I have 4 times more points that you but I'm like 4 ranks lower... Oh well!

Capture the Flag has become my new favorite. Guarding the flag gets insane when the other side makes a mad rush for it.
 
^I fell down in ranks so much...I keep getting demoted and all types of weird stuff...well at least its better than it was two weeks ago.

The one thing that ticks me off is when stupid players team kill....this guy saw me with a rocket launcher and instead of him finding his own.....BAM! killed me and took it...really stupid.

Idiots.......Not you ed I know you had a score to settle after getting owned in R:fom by me:D

Note: CTF(zones?) is when everyone acually works as a team so its a blast to try to capture spots...I was like sneaking around blowing the hell out of campers stealing there zones...LOL

CTF games are best imo. They also tend to make use of voice more as you have to be a bit more tactical with your strikes.

That was fun 2NY, it totally killed my stats though. I didn't realize we were on a ranked server till after i quit :eek:

Next time ill just switch teams and kill ya ;)

I only play ranked CTF matches and I've found TKs happening a lot lately. It's usually some young teenager with a mic, running round killing his own team, and cussing on the mic while he does. Kids... :rolleyes:

It's bloody annoying, oh well I guess the PSN is going to end up with the same crowd as Xbox Live in the end.
 
Okay the ranks in Warhawk are insane. I have only jumped on for a few games here and there recently. This morning I played through 1 whole round of ranked CTF games, I checked my profile and I had jumped from Wingman to Command Seargent. WTF! Maybe I'm just a lot better than I think I am (or the other players make me look)... ;)

Who said the ar***oles on xbox live wouldnt be replicated on PSN :rolleyes:

I cant tell you the times I got kicked from a server or banned after merely entering a game.

Utter pain in the bloody hole. :(




Games looks great. Just wish I could play it without some ******s booting me.

Really wish Sony had added BOT support ala UT2004 etc...

Just play ranked games (the blue Sony games) no booting plus you level up.

I tried a lot of those - and even though they said there was room left on the server, when I tried to connect I got ..... server full message :rolleyes:

Oh well.

I do like the fact that the game allows you to play in ALL REGIONS for a change. Which is great and all online PS3 games should have that option.


I wish they would have added some single player component just to allow you to learn the game, seems strange to throw players straight in. The amount of times I suicided getting used to the controls and button layout. :)

No regrets and the Jabbra headset is nice, but no games I joined had anyone talking so I don't know if it works or not.

yeah the learning curve is a bit of a bitch, I got destroyed in the Beta since I joined so late into it. The server problem was around even in the beta :( I'm alittle disappointed about that since they obviously knew about it... oh well, Once you get IN a game it's a lot of fun :p

Most games on PSN are not region locked anymore.....but you got to keep trying the blue servers...you will get in eventually.

The learning curve was a bitch but when you get it...you get it and its mountains of fun(I still suck flying the warhawks)

This is the only game I've played with my fellow MR peepz.....only one person left is Mackilroy!

Soon MRU I'll snipe you from afar...he heeeeee:D

I, uh, actually have yet to buy it. ;) I need to order another HDMI cable because currently my PS3 is unplugged from the TV (using the cable that it had for the Xbox 360) so I can't play it anyways without unhooking the Wii. I just haven't had the motivation yet to pay for it (the game).
 
i saw the review for that game on channel G4's X-Play, and they gave it a 4 out of 5! seemed to be a pretty awesome game!:cool:

if only i had a PS3...
