So in a nutshell...

1) Battery life is insanely good, especially if you use optimized apps
2) CPU performance in native Apple silicon apps is on par and sometimes quicker, sometimes slower than 16" MacBook which is impressive.
3) CPU performance in non-native Apple silicon is impressive but slower than the 16" MacBook
4) Graphics performance is poor to average and about a third of what you get on a 16" dedicated graphics card but better than Intel Iris.
5) iPad apps because they are designed for a touchscreen are awkward if they use a lot of touch (like a on screen joystick), but usable if you're just selecting options.
6) A few apps don't work, or don't guarantee to work well.
7) Limited ports
8) Verdict: They're very impressive for a first gen product, if you're just going to use Apple optimized apps go for it, if you use it for business don't risk it.

Except the Mac Mini, which has two fewer USB-C ports.
True - they've apparently split the mini line into two & four port models now similar to how they have the MBP13 line split. With the four-port Intel mini remaining available that seems they will potentially offer a higher-tier version - perhaps when the transition the four-port MBP's over to ARM.

Out of all these YouTube reviewers I "trust" MKBHD, Dave Lee, and Linus.

I get two Apple users, and the PC-side skeptic that actually tests things effectively and is the voice from the other side.

"If one is to understand the great mystery, one must study all its aspects, not just the dogmatic narrow view of the (Apple) Jedi.

If you wish to become a complete and wise leader, you must embrace...a larger view of the (PC) Force."

I don't hate them individually, but I hate that someone like Rene Ritchie has dumbed down his content, makes these stupid looking thumbnails all in search of more views on YouTube. It's where the platform has gone, sadly. I say this as someone that subscribes to YouTube Premium because there is still loads of good content, but most of these tech reviews have taken a nosedive in the past year or two.
Have you seen Dave Lee’s Thumbnails? Even Marques for that matter! One of the classiest thumbnails.
Although I agree such views-hungry-thumbnails are very dumb but it generates clicks for them. How long can they cater to a niche if doesn’t generate $?

And still, no one replied to my question. I tried to google it but the only thing I have found is an old post of a week ago.

Do the M1 Macs support a dual-display configuration? I'm talking about 2 external displays.

I need fundamental info, is it possible to plug through a USB-c docking station more than 1 display? I don't care if I can't have 4K resolution on both of the displays, 1080p is ok, but this is a showstopper to me for buying the new Macs.

The Mac Mini does (one over TB one over HDMI).

The MB Pro and MB Air are limited to one external (up to 6K, but still just one).

I can't believe tat turned attention more t the poor webcam, instead of what really mattered, the power of the M1

I would of still gave it a 10/10 because the webcam is a non issue when its not the main focus..

What exactly was bad about it now that wasan't before to brng it up as "rubbish" ?

Anandtech and the the MacRumors video review is the Tier One Pro reviews. These all seem like bloggers reprinting Apple Marketing fluff.
The David Lee one is ok. He discusses benchmarks at least. The rest is reheated Apple marketing collateral mixed with some non-expert opinion and personality. Such a waste of time.

So excited for the Mac Mini M1. It seems M1 unified 8GB RAM easily translates to globally accepted 16GB. I guess the 16GB would translate into 32GB. So much about "the RAM on M1 is not enough".
Yeah it ain’t that simple. Code optimisation has seen reduced need for RAM as gains. Data files won’t see those kinds of gains. Video files etc.

I actually wonder about that, because my 2014-era Macbook Pro wakes instantly when I open the lid. So I don't know why Apple is pushing instant wake when it already has it.
My older ones did, too. My 16-inch? I open it and it takes some time before the screen comes on. Not sure what’s taking so long (another Intel deficiency?) but it’s nowhere near as fast as my iPad.
