I recently discovered (by accidently wearing to bed) that I get 24+ hours of battery with still 20-25% battery life. Better yet charging less than an hour (while showing, breakfast, coffee, etc) gets me to 90%+.

I thought that would drop when I added ESPN and notifications for news and favorite teams. But it doesn't seem to have.

Pleased. (42mm SG Sport)

Anyone else having the watch drop 10%+ overnight just idling (off the wrist)?

I've also noticed that when the watch is off the wrist, and I turn off bluetooth on the phone, the watch battery just plummets. I think something like 40% overnight. Maybe it is constantly searching for the phone? Or it uses more battery off wifi?

When I have the watch paired, and on my wrist, the battery life is excellent. Something. Drops only 2-5% every hour with normal use.

I put my watch on this morning at about 9am, took it off at 10pm with 72% left, amazing!

So you barely used it

Not really an indicator of battery life

[/COLOR]People who are not getting good battery life make sure you are charging with supplied wall charger and plug it directly to wall means no other charger in that socket. Reserve the socket just for the apple wall charger. Then see how it goes, try atleast for 2 days and see the results.

No one should have to do that if they're leaving it charged overnight

But he is using it as it fits his lifestyle. I'm routinely getting ~30 hours from my Watch between full charges, and that includes sleeping with it for the alarm usage, so as not to wake my wife at 3:30 A.M. when I get up to go to the gym.

My usage is *checking* notifications and fitness tracking 95% of the time. Usage is defined by person, and that's going to vary widely by person.

So you get over 70% charge in less than an hour? Are others seeing that? Mine must be charging very slowly. I might get 50% for an hour, if I'm lucky.

How long does it take to charge your watch? Takes over 2 hours to get a full charge from 0%. I read that was pretty typical but maybe I'm wrong?

Battery Life

For first two weeks I never went down 20% but from last 4 days, I am getting to below 10% by 6PM. I take it off the charger at 5AM in the morning. But I have started using workout app just from last 4 days. may be an hour use of workout app kills lot of battery.

I'm not saying he isn't using it as he sees fit, but to report that long battery life without saying what exactly you do with it is misleading

Sorry, I should have said how I used it that day. Granted I didn't have a workout that day, but I did spend most of it walking around a car show. But I was using it for notifications as usual, and time checks. It's only slightly less than my normal usage.

With my normal usage, which would include a 45 minute gym workout, I would normally end the end with around 49% remaining.

Got mine Friday, and the last two days (Saturday and Sunday) it lasted well enough. At least, to get through the day. Wake up at 12 PM and get to sleep around 1 AM, with about 30% left.

It's not as good as Apple promises, but you know what? I don't care, since it at least is good enough to use it the whole day. And after all, I've been using the Remote app on both days. This app seems to use a lot of power. To give you the idea why: prior to starting that application I've got about 50% left. When I'm done watching a movie, it states there's almost/about 30% left.

Will try it a few more times without this app being used.

By the way, my iPhone actually lasts longer now. Previously the battery percentage always was below 30%, now it keeps it over 40%. Seems pretty obvious at one hand, since I use my Watch for a lot tasks now. But still... I thought the constant Bluetooth connection would litterally kill the battery. :p

I am usually around 30 - 40% about 9:00PM. I take it off the charger around 5:30AM.
My normal day is a few calls and texts, notifications etc. I normally work out on the weekends (mostly weight lifting). I used the "other workout" mode in the fitness app. This didn't seem to effect the battery much.
What Indid notice is the battery goes quicker when it's searching for the iPhone and reconnecting often, due to being on the edge of range for the 2 devices.

I got 24 hours a on Saturday, but is anyone's watch not charging to 100%? Mine occasionally stops at 95,97,98, etc.

No matter how long a charge it.

I don't think it stops at those numbers, the technology of the battery charges to 100, then stops and lets it drain down to 97/98 and then charge it back up. It won't let it "keep charging" when it's at 100%

It must be different than the iPhone then because mine have never shown anything besides 100% after charging overnight.

Also, I've watched it, and it doesn't move when it gets stuck like that.

I've had 50-60% left at the end of most days, but today the battery seems to be performing quite badly.

With 2:30 hours of standby, and 20mins of use, my battery was down to 92% this morning. I removed the battery level from the watch face yesterday, so I don't know if it had a full 100% when I took it off the charger. The only other thing I changed, news to put sunrise/sunset time on the utilities face instead of my calendar events. Doubt it'd make a difference, but I've changed it back anyway, and done a 2-button reset.

Threw it back on the charger to top it up again, then I'll see how it goes later.

Put it on ~5am
Take it off ~9pm
I've been averaging around 40-50% battery left. I think one day it was at 70% but I didn't use it for anything aside from checking the time, the occasional email, and monitoring my activity. The lowest I've gotten it down to was ~30% and I've never gone into power saver mode.

I turned off the battery complication since I haven't had to worry about it as I initially thought I would.

Definitely pleased with the battery life thus far. I used it for the first time heavily yesterday (multiple calls, lots of texting, changing watch faces, and viewing pictures). I took it off the charger at 8 AM and at midnight it was around 27 % left. I slept with my watch that night and woke up to several alarms on my watch at around 6 AM. It was down to about 15% battery. So essentially it lasted at least 24 hours. Hopefully this is the type battery life i should expect to get on a consistent basis.

I put mine on at 7am. Take it off about 10pm so about 15 hours both times it's been around 25-27% so i do believe it will last 18 hours if I let it go down all the way. ##

It's a 38mm BSB

My watch died on me yesterday about 9pm and today - its at 5% at 5pm.

Im not sure why its so bad as before it had loads of life left. Ive uninstalled the Family Guy game (terrible) as i think thats the only thing that has changed.

Ive also been listening to podcasts all day from my phone - which ive not done for ages.

Took the watch off the charger this morning around 9:00. Through the day I occasionally received notifications and replied to a few messages with the watch. However, I did not use any apps (except for the messages app) nor did I track an activity with the workout app.
Right now, at 22:40, I'm at 32% battery with 3:27 of usage and 13:47 standby.

I feel like the battery life is decent. It's not great and not terrible, but should be sufficient to get you through the day.
When tracking an activity with the workout app like running for instance, the battery life is not so great. Yesterday, I managed to drop in battery life from 100% to 82% during a 5k run.

Maybe it'll become better over time. This was only the second day of using the watch.

My watch and phone battery are doing great. Watch has been on since 7 AM. Checked notifications all day, worked out at the gym 2 hours tracking the workout and also streaming music from the Watch to my BT headphones.

But I'm killing my iPad battery checking in here all day! ;)

TOTALLY great battery life. Used it all day and at 51% now. In fact, I sent back the extra charging cable I ordered from Apple because I NEVER use it! I charge it at night and it lasts all day.

Watch usage over two "work" days. For this test, I turned off "Hey Siri" but kept Heart Rate monitoring on.

My standby time is on par with my iPhone 6 Plus usage since they both came off the charger at the same time. I did stair stepper 10:52 mins, outdoor walk 10:01 mins, outdoor run 24:24 mins. My outdoor run was used with iPhone for GPS.

Most notifications came from mail, twitter, cnn, espn, text messages. My iPhone ended up dying but when I plugged it in (as I type this) my 42MM SG watch is still running after 4 Hours 48 mins usage and 1 day 12 hours standby with 9% battery life.

Before this test, I had "Hey Siri" on and would typically have my watch at about 30-50% after 11 hours (but usage varies of course with maps/fitness/notifications/twitter/instagram)

I am pleasantly surprised at how much more I am squeezing out of this watch. However I will not turn off Heart Rate monitoring as I believe that to be a key feature.
