So after the first Day at my Office i still got 69% Battery with 1hour and 55 minutes usage and 10 hours 2 minutes standby.

Had about 30-40 notifications, 2 phone calls and played a bit with the watch.

The usage numbers make little to no sense. I can only assume the Watch app on the phone is very liberal in it's reporting; every glance and notification must count for multiple minutes, as does every time the watch refreshes information in the background or checks heart rate. By the way, I've never made it to 5 hours or more in Usage before my battery has been depleted entirely, and meanwhile you've got 50% remaining :p

Thanks for the feedback! Makes sense that the watch would have a lot going on in the background counting as usage. It is VERY liberal!! But you're right, I'm thrilled to still have 50% left after that much use.

42mm here. Usually around 20%, and I have been using it more than I probably will in a week.

Well tonight for the first time I'm on track to get 18 hours of battery life, as advertised. However, to get there I had to disable "hey Siri" and also remove weather as a watch face complication. I'm going to re-add weather to the watchface tomorrow and see if the improved battery life sticks with only "hey Siri" disabled.

I attached my usage specs from yesterday. I went to bed with 25 % remaining. I've disabled hey Siri, but aside from that everything else is normal. Also, these specs don't include a workout for me. Compared to other people's usage specs, mine seem really high. I check the time a lot as well as reply to messages. As someone stated earlier, the watch seems to be very liberal towards certain types of usage.

Took it off the charger at 6:30 AM yesterday. It's now 4:30 PM the next day. I'm at 1%. It says its been plugged in since the last full charge. Not sure what that's about because it hasn't.

Stats look great.

Mine lasting over 18hrs, no problems. Biggest change though is that I now can't get two days from a single charge on my iPhone 6+...

Generally by 12 hour mark I'm at less than 20% and I don't think I am overly using the watch. I only check notifications, and I don't use any apps, I'm not even opening the messages app or the mail app - only looking at the activity and battery glances. I am not using the workout app either which I know will drain the battery.

I have been charging my watch overnight every day so I start the day at 100% (or 99-98% according to the watch). If I look at the Usage stats in the app shortly after that, I can see time being logged. However later in the day, the usage states blank out. I have not partly charged the watch.

Do you think that the blanking of the usage stats, combined with what I think is high battery drain indicates there might be some hardware problem with my watch?

22% remaining at the end of the day, off the charger at 6:15, back on at midnight for day 1, which saw me messing with it a good bit, one workout, and over an hour of "exercise".

3 hours into my day, and it still sits at 93% - which at that rate works out to be a ridiculous 42 hour battery life estimate (which will never hold up.)

Are you leaving the Apple Watch iPhone app open on your phone? Swipe it away to close it down.

Since I am offloading some of the screen load from my 6 Plus I notice both devices last very long, Im pretty sure I will average 20 hours on my apple watch and about the same on my iPhone. Very happy with this.

Sounds like my original experiences with the Watch. Try disabling "Hey Siri" for a day and see how that affects your battery (On the Watch itself, go to Settings/General/Siri).

Im noticing better and better battery life the longer I have it. One week today, and last night was 48% when I went to bed.

Yes, I'm certain I'm using it slightly less, but not a lot less. My biggest notice was disabling 'hey siri'.

My 2 cents.

Even without disabling "Hey "Siri" I am getting fantastic results. The longest it went was 30 hours and still have 5% left. I use it basically for notifications and quick text message responses.

Very pleased so far...even with increased activity I easilly get a full days use.

After hour workout in morning and then use all day long using all the features still had 30% battery left at night. Very happy with it.

53% and its only 1:47 and im usually not at this till around 3:00

i have been getting more notifications today could be the reason why. works the same doing 2 45 minute workouts so far today.

I slept with mine on last night and after 24 hours, 20% remained. Pleased. 42mm

3:33 usage
23:31 standby

42mm first FULL day usage:
13 hours in
Made a couple phone calls ~5 minutes total
Some texts and other quick Siri usage
Paid via Apple Pay once
Did a 30 minute run, using MapMyRun watch app

60% remaining (iPhone 6 Plus has 74% remaining, as it's been in my pocket most of the day)

Very pleased!

I'd say 18 hours is possible for light to moderate use, particularly on low brightness/light haptic settings. From there it will get worse depending on how heavy you use and the brightness, etc.

42 mm SS BSB

I've had my watch since last Monday. My battery has always lasted me an entire day with room to spare.

Today I was at 80% after 5 hours, and 58% after 10 hours. I consider myself a fairly heavy user. I use it for phone calls, texts, emails, notifications, and activity monitoring.

Mine has also great battery life almost 21 hours since last charge and still 37% remaining. Everything is on, getting emails text messages, fitness notifications and more. I intentionally added extra emails so I can be buzzed which I like it. I also used navigation for about 15-20 minutes but I was not following its route and the watch was keep buzzing and making noises#

Very nice, battery life is too good to be honest.

People who are not getting good battery life make sure you are charging with supplied wall charger and plug it directly to wall means no other charger in that socket. Reserve the socket just for the apple wall charger. Then see how it goes, try atleast for 2 days and see the results.

No - if I look at my iPhone's usage stats, the watch app has only been using 1% of battery usage.

I would do this, but this function is one of the reasons to have the watch. Not that I use it a lot (less than once a day) but it seems other people's watches are able to stand much heavier usage than mine and keep a much better charge. FYI my watch is a 42mm Sport.

I did an online chat with Apple, and they said based on my description, someone at the Apple store should take a look at it - it doesn't sound right to them.

And just an update for today - I took the watch off the charger 3 hours ago. Used the workout app for 18 minutes, and haven't done much else with the watch, except check about 8 notifications, and also the watch was on airplane mode for about an hour (including the workout period of 18 minutes) and I'm at 64% now.

I'm at 49% battery with my usage at just under 3 hours and standby at 15.5 hours. I do not have Siri disabled and have used the watch fairly heavy so far today. I have been getting similar results with it since I received it last Thursday. I'm using a 42mm SS.
