MKBHD is be the most overhyped tech youtuber. Focuses way too much on technicalities of film making vs the actual content of his reviews. Compare his review of 12 Max with Verge's one. There is just so much more useful detail about the camera performance in the Verge's video.

11 pro Max owners here. Just put in a brand new battery now at 100% Max capacity. What are reviewers saying about battery on 12 pro max compared to 11 pro Max and the camera differences? I may hold on to My 11 pro max another year.

Yeah honestly I like MKBHD but I think he either didn't test the Max correctly or just missed the mark with his review. You can see the clear benefits of the camera in the Max here. Glad I went with it!

since the sensor is 47% larger, it should make a big jump in terms of low light capabilities or something, however it doesn't. It sounds more dramatic than it actually is, just imo.

To say it doesn't because this joke of a reviewer says so is pretty sad, honestly. I'll judge for myself, or wait for an actual photographer to review it...not a guy that barely knows the difference between an iPhone and Samsung.

Agreed, I unsubbed from his channel. He seems to be getting lazy in his reviews. How do you not test accurately one of the major improvements of a product, then say falsely the product has no improvement.... uhh, yeah I'm done with that channel lol.

Yes it looks like the launch day supply is sold out - the earliest you can get one online/shipped now is late November to early December depending on the color or carrier needed. Local Apple stores will have some on launch day

What did you feel he was missing? It was a big claim but he went out and took example photos, even comparing to the mini and the examples really weren’t that different. I felt his Mini video was right on the point. He made a big claim battery was an issue and backed it up with the battery stats

Yeah, I’m guessing someone’s going to have to record a second follow up video? Actually, now that I think about it, how much you want to bet there’s a TON of people watching the video just because what he’s saying is the opposite of everyone else? I mean... click bait IS a thing. And, views ARE views regardless if you like the review or not.

I bought the 12, and thought about returning it for the 12 mini. I’m so happy I didn’t do that, because I cannot imagine the worst battery life on the 12 Mini. I am a heavy phone user, and I still usually drain my 12 by the end of the day.
As for the lineup, it really sounds like due to factors like Covid and low supply, Apple compromised a lot with these phones.
all of the rumors for next year‘s iPhone point towards a much more consistent lineup. From everything I’ve read, it’s going to be the same four iPhones that we have this year, except all four of them will have triple cameras. it’s just that the pros will have bigger sensors and other benefits, and also the pro and the pro max will probably be identical other than size, kind of like years past. oh, and the pro lineup will have 120 Hz displays, just to get all of those people that insist that it’s 100% needed in a 2021 phone to shut up.
anyway, let’s talk about something more important, like that leather sleeve. All the rumors that said it might add an always on display to the iPhone for that little window were completely untrue. Plus, even in promotional shots it looks like it easily wears and tears. That thing is absolutely not worth anything close to $129.
I do like that the MagSafe duo can fold forward to slip into a pocket, or backwards if you’re just using one of the sides. That’s really nice. One of my favorite features of MagSafe is that you can use your phone in your hand while it’s charging. I thought that the duo might eliminate that cool thing, because you’d have to pick up the whole thing with it, and the Watch side of the charger would just stick out of the side of your phone. But nope, you can fold the watch half back, and it basically becomes a regular MagSafe charger. I really do like that, and I’ll probably buy one once Best Buy or Walmart puts them on sale for Black Friday or something.

Think for yourself and put the phone through its paces, before making judgments. His review is meaningless as Apple provided him the phone for a week to test. He isn’t keeping it. And most of all, his standards and daily usage probably isn’t the same as yours.

True tho. 12 Pro Max is still a very great phone, just wanting to see if there is a much of a difference when low light.

Watch the other reviews, MDBHD has become a lazy reviewer. One of the major improvements on the 12 Pro Max vs say the 11 Pro Max is far better low light performance. I actually unsub'd from his channel because of this. How do you not thoroughly test one of the key improvements of a product, and then falsely say its not any better..? Like, you might expect that from a new Youtuber with hardly any experience or tech knowledge.. but this seems pretty ****** to me. Would not be surprised if they stopped sending him iPhone's after this.
