Here's another thing that definitely changed.

I have the modular watch face with a stopwatch complication. On 1.0, touching the stopwatch complication would bring me to the hybrid style stopwatch, but I would briefly see a screenshot of the standard stopwatch before it resumed & displayed my hybrid style stopwatch. On 1.01, that screenshot is no longer there.

It's minor, but it proves that there are fixes other than what they displayed in the release notes.

Then final boot and you are up and running :)
The only thing that threw me a little was that once the watch did its final reboot, the iPhone app still said 'updating' until I went back a screen and selected 'software update" again, whereupon it told me I was up to date. (1.01)

Thought I would take a couple of pics of the screens on the watch.

The clock in the top right corner of apps used to be temperamental, sometimes appeared a few seconds after app started. Or never.

That's fixed now.

The yellow/green ring, 'exercise' tracking is definitely more responsive. Before I could go on a 15 minute brisk walk (using the workout app and selecting outdoor walk) and only get credit for 5-7 minutes. Just went for a 30 minute walk and got credit for the entire 30 minutes.

The stand ring is also more responsive. Standing up and walking for a few seconds gives me credit instead of having to do a bunch of jumping jacks or running in place for 30 seconds.

Very pleased with the update.

Initial thoughts:

Dark Sky and Hue both seem to load faster. Dark Sky seems much improved, Hue only marginally so.

The screen now comes on when I'm lying down, previously this was very hit and miss.

Hey Siri also seems much improved. I will continue to test this (and everything else) out to make sure this isn't a placebo type effect.

I notice no difference in haptic feedback.

Here's another change - on the next calendar appointment watch face complication, the time used to say "10:00am" or such when the appointment was on the hour. Now it says "10am" without the ":00".

Handoff works finally for me in 1.01.

In 1.0 I got a "Activity Interrupted" error.

Edit: Scrap that: Error just reappeared :(

One annoying thing about update!

It has moved my apps around... they are no longer where I positioned them.

This might have been caused by the restarting. I had a similar experience when I installed a couple of apps but none showed up, after restarting the apps showed up and the layout for the other apps changed a little bit.

I still don't understand why we can't scroll sideways to the next month on calendar. I mean on April 30th. it wouldn't let me see what was on my calendar for the next day. Unless I am doing something wrong?

I'm really glad to see this. I just timed it:

Upon initial wrist raise, the screen stay on for 6 seconds.
If you tap the screen, it now stays on for 18 seconds.

I just timed my 1.0.0 watch (I'm at work without a charger and haven't been able to update) and got those exact same times - 6 seconds upon wrist raise and 18 seconds following a screen tap. So I don't know that anything's changed there...

Tip for those that haven't downloaded the update yet: change your iPhone settings so that your iPhone doesn't go to sleep/lock while the update is taking place. Otherwise, the update will pause when the iPhone goes to sleep.

Additional observation, while not lightning fast, my USAA app now works. Prior to this update, it didn't work at all.

That's interesting. My USAA app on the watch only worked if I actually opened the USAA app on the phone and entered my pin. Kinda pointless that way. Can't wait to get home and see if the update fixed that issue.

The most likely explanation is that I don't know how long 6 seconds actually is. But it sure did seem to stay on longer at first.

Oh...I just went back and read your edit. I thought you were timing it by the second hand and got 10 seconds. Now I feel better. :D
However, I still think it stays on longer than it used to. That's my story, and I'm stickin' with it. ;)
