I'm looking forward to having more options for 'typing' on the watch. I know also more apps will be exciting and the new faces too. With iOS 9 released too it'll be a great day tomorrow

More typing options? Can you elaborate on this?

I'll wait a while and read the reviews on how the Watch performs with the OS2. I'm still on 1.0 and it is working fine for now.
1.01 was a performance boost. Not sure why you wouldn't be on that. However the os2 will make that marginal boost moot. Native apps will greatly increase performance. The thing to wait to see is the battery life post update.

I am excited for the update. (How about you?)

What I am most looking forward to is:
* The new watch faces
* custom complications
* native applications
* improved Siri

What's nice but I'm not excited about:
* more colorful sketches
* reply to emails
* add more friends
* transit information
* use more cards with Apple Pay
* activation lock

What I'm the least excited about or not looking forward to at all:
* The time travel feature
* nightstand mode

I understand why you are not excited about night stand mode in a way, but I also see why they did it the way they did. AMOLED screens have a relatively short life span, so running the display constantly could in the long run be a problem.

Can't wait to finally use some app functionality beyond setting timers and dealing with notifications. The load times & glitches caused by app lag have been just silly so far, I've always preferred to pull out the phone until now (aside from for setting timers etc). Going from watchOS 1 to 2 feels like going from a beta to an actual released product, honestly...

I'm not complaining though, I've been happy with my Watch all along due to how cool it is regardless of the slow start in terms of app functionality :) And I'm really looking forward to seeing what developers can do with 3d party complications.

Really excited & constantly checking the forum for a thread just like this one - and now we have it - woot woot!!

(genuinely not try to be sarcastic - I really have been checking the forum for a thread like this one - sad I know)
Should of just made one.

I agree, just about the only third party app I've used with any regularity was Wunderlist to check off items from my grocery list as I shopped. Everything else took too long or was too cumbersome.

I definitely think OS 2 will make this feel more like the smart watch I wanted when I bought the device.

I'll be looking to update tomorrow. I have only downloaded one 3rd party app up until now so might try out a few of the native ones. The watch face enhancements will be fun to check out. Not OS related exactly but I'm eyeing a few of the new colored sport bands and will be interested to see how the available colors on the faces will look with them.

The new sports bands are already available. I got mine from UPS today.

The new Watch faces aren't too exciting honestly with the reason being that all of them only display the time and date and no other complication (Album, picture, time lapse). I'm not aware of any other new watch faces aside from the ones I mentioned.

They need to add one more complication on the bottom for weather... or at least allow you to pick between date or weather. I live in Chicago where we sometimes have all 4 seasons in one day... so being able to check the weather constantly while I'm out or planning to go out is important to me. :)

(Just today the temperature went from 60 degrees in the morning to 82 by mid afternoon.. and this wasn't even one of the wild days.)

From what I understand from others' reviews, Dark Sky weather app is really great on the phone and watch, even on Watch 1.0.1. With fall and our rainy season coming up (...hopefully that is, I'm in Calif and we need it), it's one app that I'll be downloading soon. You might want to check it out so you get a weather alert for where you are.

I'm looking forward to the whole thing. However, when I check for update on Apple Watch app, it lingers and tells me unable to search for update and I'm not on wifi. Well, I'm on wifi. Hoping it's just because of the soon upcoming update.

Does 2.0 allow you to see a "glance" as default i.e. something other than the watch face? (I want to see my music controls).

You can't set a particular glance as a default, but you can set it to resume last activity on screen raise. So if you were last looking at your music controls, when you raise your wrist your music controls will be there. But if you were looking at something else, you can't default it to always look at a specific glance or app except the watch face.
