Or you can download it off icefilms.info. They had a whole movie selection in honor of Steve.

Holy crap, can anyone else confirm my suspicions that this is HD widescreen, AKA something they've not released it in before?!?

It's good!

It's a very good movie, though some facts are clearly wrong. I saw a quick interview from Woz one time saying the creators never bothered to interview the major people in it because they were scared of getting sued to stop production, so they tried to make it as best they could without knowing the real events, plus, it is part dramatization. Still, it's a good movie, and you should watch it.

I would love to see a new movie made like this that covered the last 10 years as well.

It already started.
First time watching it too. I didn't like Apple back in 1999 or cared about that movie. Actually I don't even remember it existed back then.

I'm sure all those investors who rejected them back then are now hating themselves for it.

I don't see it anywhere in my listings from Comcast . Is this a last minute type thing ?

Probably... I'm sure it wasn't in their plans early yesterday.

Grrr!!! I can't stand all the commercial breaks..

I'll watch it later uninterrupted on my AppleTV or iPad... Who needs TV anymore!!!??? :D

Yeah, it's displaying as "Bones" on TNT, but it's on. I guess it was too late to update the listings. I'm watching it now- it's pretty good!

Edit: just finished it- it was okay. I think the book will be much better simply because of Steve's input and the fact that it will be more thorough and complete. I felt the end was anti-climatic - likely because they didn't delve into (or didn't have the chance to) expand on Steve's return to Apple.

I've already seen this twice. But I'm watching it again because it's in HD.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

Will it be in HD? I know it was shot on film so hopefully. I already have it on DVD.

Don't have cable, but the DVD is on Netflix - already on my queue. I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen it yet.

I thought Apple invented the mouse. This movie says Xerox did and passed on to Steve. This true!

Absolutely true, Xerox PARC invented, Apple licensed and then popularized. Although likely (someone can check me on this) I have a feeling there were probably multiple "inventors" of the GUI and mouse, however from what I gather what Xerox PARC had was probably the most advanced at the time.

pretty good movie. this movie was made before apples uprising. a second movie on the two companies over the last 12 years would be great.

FYI folks if you missed it, they appear to be airing it a second time in a row.

Pretty good. The music is very good, overall it was done very well, even if not totally accurate.

Frankly, makes me want to read his bio even more. Very, very curious to get his take on some of these events, and am wondering if he talks much about his family life, including his first daughter.

Does Micrsoft still own a part of Apple?

No I don't believe so. They might have a few shares in the company, however they sold off most of what they had IIRC.

It is interesting that Steve and Bill were friends that hated each other. I do believe that deep down each admired each other, however they didn't get along very well at times.

Remember love or hate Microsoft they did help save Apple in the late 90's. Steve Jobs was pretty unpopular with the Apple faithful when he went to Bill Gates to ask for some investment in the late 90's, but Apple needed the money to keep going.

Last I will say that Microsoft Office 2011 is an excellent product that I use almost every day on my Mac. Steve got over the idea that Apple had to beat Microsoft in order to be successful years ago... It's time some Apple fans do the same... IMHO.

I think it's a pretty unflattering portrayal of both Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. Also, it missed the best part of the story which is the last 10 years, in my opinion.

Noah Wyle did a FANTASTIC job.

Unflattering but true. I've never heard Jobs or Gates deny that they pretty much got it right. That's what it takes to be on top. And you what what? It's all a sort of game to them. It's not personal. It's a sport. As much as Apple is suing Samsung or whoever it's just business.

Noah was good, but this gave rebirth to Hall's career that was all but nonexistent at the time. Even more than Noah he really had it down

Can't wait for the book.

I was the one in charge of getting all of the computers right.

I actually talked Xerox into loaning us an original ALTO. The one you see on screen is real deal, though it didn't work. I spent some time with it...giant circuit boards with lots of gold. One whole board was labeled "Ethernet"

The mouse was something, it had 2 small steel wheels on bottom that rolled in tracks. I sent Xerox a few pages from script, but I may have left out a few. Made me some points in the office when I talked them into it. Had to send a van up from LA to get it.

I got to go shopping at the Vintage Computer Fair in San Jose to buy up lots of the pieces.

I had sold Apple IIs in early 80's so I knew all of the right little bits.

Was incredible to be paid to recreate a past I had lived.

Noah Wyle was very concerned with sounding real.

Before a couple segments he had me coach him on proper comments, uses of speech, etc.

The director and designer both were VERY concerned with accuracy. I had to leap through hoops to get a Lisa I with twiggy drives for scene with it.

I also did a giant room of PDP-8 DEC for Bill Gates, but that scene got cut. We had a working machine, along with spools and spools of paper tape programs for it.

So many memories...
