I just got a S3 LTE and love it. The 4 is awesome but that price tag for someone that’s getting their first one to see what it’s lkke is pretty high. I’ll wait a few years and get the 6.
Take better care of your stuff? My Apple Watch Series 0 opened up the camera app in less than 5 seconds. Amongst other things, it isn't as slow as you make it out to be. I WILL AGREE THAT POWERING IT ON TOOK 5 MIN THO
Does it tell time? Or is that not what watches do these days.
Price just isn't something that is mentioned in comparisons Of the watches that I've typically seen, and I was sharing my observation of this fact. 25% is a pretty huge leap, imo. I see the cost analysis of owning an x and xs series of iPhones come up often. Shoot, it's a main bullet point of the Xr nearly every time it's mentioned. Have a look at an article right on this site talking about the Xr receiving fcc approval; the lower price point is even mentioned there, which has little to do with the rest of the topic. Apple Watch? Almost never.Screen size. Screen size. Screen size. All the extra complications are fantastic. More information! The other day I tried my ‘old’ watchface that I was fine with for 3 years...and it felt so ... outdated. And then there is the better call clarity. And it IS a bit faster, Siri works better for me. The four really is a notable upgrade to the three, even without the ECG.

What’s to talk about with price? A few have complained that once again Apple increased the features and dared to increase the price.. but honestly what else is there to discuss? It is significantly bigger screen. Significantly faster. Sounds better. I didn’t mind paying more because I got more. I know I will get attacked for saying that. If I didn’t want more, I had the choice of buying the reduced cost S3. So there you go. Pay more, get more. But you have a choice. Including not buying at all.
I didn't see any smoke.
Maybe I can pick up a series 0 on the cheap. Keep posting videos like this and their value will continue to fall. Thanks.
I cannot overstate how wonderful of a product this watch line has become. I’m coming from a series 2 and it’s mesmorizing with the altitude, speed, loading web pages, ECG, etc.
This thing is a home run. Best product since AirPods
I get why it's a big deal for some (in your case it sounds like a no brainer), but in my case the ECG isn't really a feature that would compel me to upgrade, especially since the feature hasn't been approved by Health Canada yet, and who knows when it will be. Also, I did have a 6 lead ECG done a couple years back (work project requirement) and everything was good then.it's the ECG, stupid (sorry, paraphrasing another subject here). I am very happy with my series 3, but I need to get kardiomobile egg or upgrade the watch, the watch has it, way more convenient than kardiomobile..
The Watch 4 is the first watch that really makes a statement for looks and utility of a smartwatch.
The processing has finally gotten good enough to make this compelling enough to replace your iPhone some of the time.
Call quality, the main factor in my choice to upgrade. The new speaker loudness and clarity is so far above the series 3 it sold me on that one feature. I do appreciate the other stuff too.
This highlights the stupidity of the first real gold Apple Watch Edition that started at $10,000 and went up to $17,000. How stupid does one have to be to spend so much money on something that will be outperformed by the cheapest Apple Watch the very next year, and massively outperformed by the cheapest Apple Watch a few years after that?
Series 0?
The Apple Watch Series 4, launched last week, features a new dual-core S4 chip that's significantly faster than the S3 chip in the Series 3, and, of course, the chips used in older Apple Watch models.
We did a side-by-side comparison of the Apple Watch Series 4 to the original Apple Watch, the Series 1 models, the Series 2 models, and the Apple Watch Series 3 to see how far the Apple Watch has come since it was first introduced in 2015.

According to Apple, the fourth-generation dual-core 64-bit Silicon-in-Package or SIP chip in the Apple Watch is twice as fast as the previous-generation S3 chip. Its improved efficiency and speed allow for better battery conservation and new health-related features like ECG readings.
In our testing, we compared Apple Watch tasks like booting up, opening apps, and activating Siri to demonstrate the speed differences between each generation.
Unsurprisingly, the Series 4 was the fastest, but for a lot of tasks, there weren't huge speed differences between the Series 4 and the Series 3.
When comparing the Series 4 to the Series 2 and older, though, you can see the impressive improvements Apple has made to the processor over the course of the last three years. While it took the Apple Watch Series 4 40 seconds to boot up, it took the Series 2 almost four minutes, the Series 1 three minutes, and the Series 0 five minutes.
When opening up apps, we didn't see a huge difference between the Series 3 and Series 4 for most tests, but the Series 4 was always just a little bit faster. On Series 2 and older, apps took a good deal longer to open, and in some cases, like with the original Apple Watch, apps took so long we gave up.
So, what can we learn from this? You may not see major speed changes when upgrading to Series 4 from Series 3, though everything will feel snappier.
You will, however, notice an incredible difference upgrading from an original Apple Watch, Series 1 model, or Series 2 model, which makes upgrading from one of these older devices worthwhile.
In our opinion, if you're considering upgrading from a Series 2 or earlier to the Series 4, do it. The speed changes are so drastic that using the Apple Watch Series 4 is an entirely different experience than using an older Apple Watch.

Same here! And I don't buy food because I'll just flush it away anyway. Pray for me.This is why I say never buy Apple products. Because the next version will always smoke the older version you have !
No. The S1 has the dual core processor from the S2That's a bit weird for S0 having different speed/time cost from S1. Aren't they share the same chip?
