The color of the void left on my wrist can only be described as Space Black. Well played, Apple. Well played.

Keep in mind...

...black is not a color, but the absence of it

Not unlike the absence of your watch...mind blown#

Tell Apple .. You sure can give out 42mm Link Bracelet watches to reviewers .. However users wait to put those on their hands !! We are the true reviewers ..

On Wednesday of last week I was excited. My SS 42mm link watch ordered on 4/10 at 2:01 a.m. CST showed a pending charge from Apple. Today, the pending charge dropped off my account. My hope of a delivery sooner than 5/13-5/27 is now dashed. Oh well. The thing that makes me disappointed about this process is that Apple didn't tell us prior to the presale which models were on constraint. Had I known, I probably would have ordered a different band and ordered the link bracelet later. However, at the time, I didn't feel I had enough time to think it all through as I was trying to get my order placed quickly. I guess the bottom line is it looks like I'm going to have to wait until at least 5/13.

Not that it's any consolation but you definitely will not be waiting alone.

I still would have ordered the SS with link bracelet even if the other bands shipped faster. I got AppleCare+ and I assume it covers the link bracelet too.

Just waiting...

On the 10th my order for a 42mm SS with link was acknowledged at 8.02 and is still processing.
A few days later I ordered a Milanese loop for daily use as I want to keep the link bracelet for evening wear. Milanese loop shipping is June.

I have now ordered a 42mm Milanese watch because i am nervous about possible manufacturing issues with the link bracelet and delays past the shipping date.
If the Milanese watch ships before the Link watch then I will cancel the link watch and place an order for the link bracelet on its own.

Just playing with permutations really :).

I don't understand why anyone would opt for their second choice just so they can have it a month earlier and regret it for 11 months or so until the next model comes out.

Based on the size of this thread, I'm thinking there are relatively few orders for the Stainless Steel Watch with Link Bracelet. If that's true, is it likely that when Apple starts to ship these (other than the one or two there might have been already) that we will all receive our watches in a short timeframe?

There's always hope #

I'm pulling for Apple! Positive mindset, and we can hopefully have 'em by Friday!!!! There's absolutely no way they don't have at least enough to fulfill the first few hundred orders.

Yeah.. If you look at the forum Google Doc there are like 7 Apple Watch SS Link at best..

I think the only logical explanation is that the one man who was able to operate the machine to build these link bracelets must have died. RIP ol' buddy.

C'mon man! I ordered on 4/18! I need them to have enough to fulfill a few hundred thousand orders! #

How I see it

Yes. Makes sense. The Keymaker is now the Linkmaker!

Here's my thinking. Apple certainly isn't going to crate up 20 of these and ship them here from China. I don't know how many they send in a "batch" but I'm sure the number is pretty substantial. Based on the (anecdotally) small number of link bracelets ordered, I'm guessing most of them will be shipped once that first batch is received.

The big question though is how bad the holdup is in manufacturing the quantity they need to ship. :(

And there's not a single soul on this forum with the status of shipped (the liar doesn't count)?
There's not even a person who has an order that's preparing to ship.

To be totally fair though, I wouldn't doubt some of the boutiques got a few to sell. If the guy was in L.A. and stood in line it might be possible to have one.

I'd love to hear from someone that was at one of the stores with stock on Friday to see what they actually had.
