And there will be units like that. However, the good news is the Watch case is easily swapped out and you'll just transfer the existing link bracelet (which is obviously the limiting factor here) to it.

Warranty replacements should be quick though - Apple would have seeded the warranty channel before shipping any sales.

With all the people ordering 4-5-6 watches to try them on and return them there should be plenty of warranty units.

I thought the order limit is 2 per customer? If they're repeatedly canceling/returning and placing new orders, they'll just get a later shipping date unless it's one of the more freely available models.

A lot of people are using multiple apple id's

The new article on the front page today says that the ONLY 2 models still not out there anywhere are the 38mm and 42mm SS Space Black w/ SB Link Band models...

HELLO, I beg to differ lol.

I am not pressing the panic button about the current headline on Macrumors. I am assuming that it is referring to fresh orders

I don't think it's referring to fresh orders. I think they just forgot about us :( lol

The only two Apple Watches that remain virtually nowhere to be seen are the 38mm and 42mm Space Black with Link Bracelet models, both of which remain available to ship in 4-6 weeks or later for most customers.

Yep, honestly, that article is woefully lacking (see if this gets deleted) :)

It's the SB, but also the SS Links, the leather loops and the modern buckles. I don't think anyone's seen any product for any of these.

The SS Classic Buckle, SS Sport Band and the Sports are all shipping. (Presumably the outrageously priced Editions are as well - but they're backordered).

The worst part of that article is that beautiful SS Link watch staring right back at you, taunting you.

Well, nothing new from Apple this morning for me either. On the bright side, when people ask me when my watch will get here I can now say "By the end of THIS month." instead of "By the end of next month."

Really going to need to hear something from Apple next week for sure. The entire fact that they are running commercials, and shipping the less expensive aluminum watches with no information on what the hell is going on with our links is starting to become unacceptable.

I reiterate the unpopular opinion that they don't owe anyone anything until the 13th.... Getting upset at anything you may see or not see happen before their promised window is just fruitless.

I definitely need to hear something from Apple by June 30th or I'm going to let them have it! #

Everyone in here is calm, cool, and collected...very juxtaposed to some of the other watch configuration threads. I'm happy this one is civil :)

EDIT: Well, except for the last few minutes...

I just submitted a warranty claim on my current watch to get the Stainless band so we shall see. They have already charged my card for it

And I'm going to reiterate the reality of what happens when you buy a premium product: You are supposed to get some serious customer care. None of these were prepped from day zero, and Apple should have done a better job communicating that.

Couple that with reports of faulty taptic engines, annoying e-mails of "it's here!", and radio silence that's just unacceptable.

Many folks who are not used to that level of care generally are ok with just saying "oh it's whatever, they don't owe anything".

That, if you haven't figured this out yet, is not acceptable at this price point.
