I love your optimism! Agreed though, I'm honestly expecting my 38mm LB to change to preparing tomorrow!
Just think of it this way. How many actual watch with LB orders placed prior to 4/24 can there actually be? 5% of total orders maybe? I think they are amassing a huge batch of LB watches and will knock out a huge amount of preorders once they start shipping next week.
Makes some sense; probably by truck to Hong Kong. They are only about 20 miles apart.

While we are waiting for our watches .. Like to share an observation and a question.. I'm in DFW Area in TX .. And honestly haven't noticed anyone wearing an apple watch ..!! Not that I've been going after wrists and observing people " is he/she wearing one or not" .. But the question is .. Is it so much near to any good watch that you won't notice it like something wrong on his/her hand ? Because I have seen some Samsung gear on some wrists and they looked horrific and out of anything normal on someone's wrist .. What's your opinion?!
I haven't seen any in the wild either, but in the local Apple store I've had two try on's. When looked at closely, they are obviously a smart watch (rectangular and thick), but I think that Apple has done a great job on presentation and materials. At just a glance, they say "watch" to me. I think this is especially true with the nicer bands, since that is a lot of what you see.

I too am in Dallas/Ft Worth and I have yet to see any AW's in the wild. Either I'm not looking close enough or perhaps there hasn't been any shipped here yet for anyone to even have one. I'm still waiting on mine. Hoping status changes this week. If not tonight, perhaps tomorrow?! Fingers crossed!
I'm in Cincinnati only one I've seen is on the apple employee while I was doing my 3rd try on. Probably a good thing. If I saw one in the wild I may rip it off their wrist.

I live in Cincinnati and I have a 42 mm SS with BSB. Link bracelet on separate order. I'll sell mine to you for $1500. Cheaper than me suing you for assault and your criminal bail for ripping it off my wrist!

Guy at work has one too. Otherwise haven't seen any. I'm an apple fanboy. Have every apple device known to man. Just bought a new 5k iMac and new 12 Inch retina space gray MacBook. Both are incredible. Have a love/like with the watch. It is really not a necessity and is quite buggy. Third party apps are slow and sometimes downright useless. The Nike app sucks which really disappoints me.
I think/hope that the watch and apps will improve over time. I think in the rush by the App developers to "cash in" a lot of garbage software has been produced. I'm an IT guy and I see the watch primarily as a sensor and output device, not as a computer on your wrist. Most stuff I don't want ever to get to my watch. Only the really important notifications.
I think it's going to take a while for all of us to learn how to properly integrate the watch into our Apple ecosystem. If we try to make it what it isn't, the experience won't be very good.
Too bad about your experience with the Nike app, I would have thought that would have been one of the good ones for the wrist. Perhaps they just rushed it to "catch the wave".
Yeah, ordered a 42mm SS Link bracelet. 5/13-5/27 delivery range. I played with it the first couple of days but it's not the same as having it on my wrist. She likes it a lot and I do too. I got her a 38mm SS Clasick buckle.
I ordered the Stainless Steel Black Link AW. Just a little more expensive. I don't have a GF but I do have a BF. He has the iPhone 6 and I got the 6+ He doesn't know I ordered myself one. I want to get him one but that'll be later. That being said I hope this watch is everything I want it to be and then some. I even went back up to Northpark to retry the watch on and to look at the SBSS watch in the case which had me literally drooling. Lol. I can't wait to receive this bad boy.
My expectations were not off the charts for the watch. I really thought, however, that the fitness apps would work better. I like the Apple activity app, workout, etc. but they need to add some features. They do work better than the Nike app, which is useless. I have logged so many runs/miles into my Nike iPhone app that I just don't want to give it up. For now, I am manually entering my runs in the Nike app and using the workout app since it isn't buggy or delayed in getting data to your wrist. Really need a GPS, but I buy everything on launch day and I"m sure I'll get V2 of this thing as well. Call me crazy/stupid.
You won't be disappointed man, trust me. The watch is fantastic. Seeing my gf use it everyday and asking her about it, makes me even more excited. I really hope we get them this week.
That link bracelet is becoming very compelling. I have the 42 SS with WSB. I also ordered the Milanese, but I might have to order the link bracelet as well.
What I find most interesting about this is that both this thread and the Space Black Link Bracelet thread are exactly the same 61 pages in length as of right now!!!
Kinda random, and probably means nothing, but I am taking that to possibly mean that the orders for both versions of the Link Bracelet are split pretty evenly between Space Black and Stainless Steel...

Ok. I originally had a 3:02 eastern order on a 42 SS link. Buddy at work orders two watches and gets them both on April 24. One is a 42 SS BSB. I canceled my link watch order and bought his. Have had it for several weeks. Wanted to make sure I would keep the watch before ordering the separate link band.
Soooo I order the link band Friday and get charged in full Saturday. No change in shipping status yet. Anyone else see the same?
