Wouldn't that be great? All we need is a watch face store and an app to make my own faces like watchmaker on android
I think we've all been hoping for this for years and yet Apple does nothing and releases rubbish watch faces for the most part.

I wish it worked like setting up a new iOS device or Apple TV. You bring your phone nearby and a screen pops up for quick setup, and everything just syncs with one button.I wish they would just streamline the pairing process. I restored from backup and it still required way too many inputs from me once it finally recognized pairing.
This is super true. The metrics the Apple Watch offers are very elementary compared to other options. But all the sensors seem to be there so this is just lack of focus or interest.I've had 2 Apple Watches, a Series 6 and now the Ultra - The 6 in Stainless was more of a dress watch but I have been enjoying the Ultra however it needs to offer me more health and exercise insights i.e. running which it falls far short of compared to Garmin. Given the data available to the watch Apple are missing a trick here.
Also the noise level alerts - give me the option to tell the watch I am wearing hearing protection thank you.
I am kind of waiting for WWDC but my next watch will likely be a Forerunner 965 and I will forego the LTE or become one of those oddbods that wear 2 watches.
Never heard of that. I have 2 questions.
1. Does it need to be near the iPhone? (Can you go out and leave it with no iPhone nearby)
2. Does it need to be on the charger?
You can switch it into list mode. It's in Settings on the watch.I like the app grid style, but it is not practical. Something with tiles would be better, but the screen is too small.
Yeah I'd love if they fixed the watch's OCD algorithm for staying connected on Bluetooth with the phone. Being on the edge of Bluetooth range when I go to another room makes it useless. Can't do any HomeKit controls, can't use Siri, can't do anything because it's so far away the connection times out for being so lowly modulated. Sigh. Give it a 5ft radius then drop off and go to WiFi. Bluetooth is garbage anyway.Could a new watchOS improve battery life substantially? Maybe in how it pings with your iPhone?
Also, please add Notes to the watch.
answer is sad but simple. $!!! tec needed is already inside; it is just a matter of software. i fu**ing wait since apple watch one. just for that reason i never got one. hell - 128GB for music inside - i even would buy the pro for a senseless amount of money.Agreed. I'm so tired of watch apps that spin and spin if my iphone isn't within range.
Tell me again why Apple includes cellular connectivity in a Watch where 3rd party apps need to communicate with the phone? Oh yeah, I can send a text and receive a phone call. There's so much more that could be accomplished...
3rd party apps that I need do work for me even without a phone nearby… e.g. Slack - when I go for a run only with the cellular Watch and leave the phone at home, I’m still receiving messages.Agreed. I'm so tired of watch apps that spin and spin if my iphone isn't within range.

All Apple Watches until Series 8 have 1GB of RAM as well, what are you guys smoking? The S4 chip (in the Series 4) and S5 chip (in the Series 5 and SE 1) are the same chip, so the most likely scenario is that all three of them are dropped at the same time. Seems likely that they will all get WatchOS 10. Does depend how demanding these new software features are though, perhaps the 1GB of RAM included in the S4/S5 chip will be a limiting factor.
Nup. You’re wrong. Clearly you can’t appreciate the benefits and the lives saved through the worlds biggest selling Watch.apple watch is just an overpriced gimmick. no stand-alone functionality, not enough memory to really safe some music in, poor battery life and for years now the same ugly design. there are much better sat protection devices for emergency out there. and to be honest; who really needs to watch his heart uses better medicine tec.
remember the newton? first laptops, ipod ans phones? that was something. seems like apple is out of ideas. hell, y can get chinese watches with the same functionality for less than 100$...
The Series 6, 7 and 8 all have 1.5GB of RAM and all use the same processor. All Apple Watches until Series 8 have 1GB of RAM as well, what are you guys smoking?
If it means the interface will be slightly more sluggish than Series 6 onwards, than it's fine, but Apple better keep those updates rolling for Series 4 and 5 nonetheless.
Well, it's not fine with me and that's why I've moved to Garmin. I'll come back when Apple offers Apple Watch with 7 days AOD battery life.Compared to the regular Apple watch at least it certainly is. 3 days between charges is fine with me compared to the 24hrs to 36hrs of the regular watch.

It is what is listed in the specification tables on Wikipedia, but I see the source for that is a tweet so 🤷♂️Source about the 1.5 GB of RAM?
