I think it's pretty funny actually.

Sell a gimped wristband. Then about a week later introduce software that makes it work. Everybody is so grateful.

Genius

Just kidding :)

But you have got to love them a little for giving people what they want. Albeit, a wee bit late

I have a Sport SG, and haven't been using it, as I've been waiting for native apps. It just seems so Beta. Others, will disagree of course (maybe not in this thread though ;) )

I'm curious as what kind of crazy apps we will see. Should be fun

Did they mention Activation Lock for the Watch during the presentation? I didn't catch it but just noticed it on the website.

Yup!

Are the majority of games on the appstore good quality? I'd say no. There are a decent amount of good quality games, lots of mediocre games and plenty of trash.

I'd imagine watch faces would have a similiar outcome.

So, by your logic, we shouldn't have an iOS App Store?

i'm curious to see what battery life becomes with native apps
I've thought about that too. The way it is now, the app is streamed from your phone wirelessly, so less computation, but it's doing wireless data transfer which can eat some battery. With native there is more computaion, but much less wireless data transferred.

In the end I hope it's a wash.

No, considering the watch face is the first thing people see on the Apple watch it would generally be a good idea not to display a crappy 3rd party watch face? If I was Apple I wouldn't allow for 3rd party watch faces and if I did I'd make sure a team reviewed it to be sure its up to Apple's standards.

I still can't get over the calendar being so simple. Only being able to see current month is a huge oversight imo. I thought for sure ur would be addressed in the next update.

can anyone help, I've downloaded the mobileconfig from the dev portal but I can't for the life of me figure out how to register the udid and get watchos 2 on to the device
Do you have iOS 9 on your device? That's a prerequisite. Open the mobileconfig file on your iPhone and click install. Then when you go to Software Update in the Watch app it will show the update.

Here's how I installed watchOS2 without having UDID for Watch:

Install iOS9 (must have UDID of iPhone registered; no need to register Watch UDiD)
Email configurator profile to email address on phone.
Open profile attachment from email on phone.
When it asks you where you want it installed, choose PHONE first.
Restart iPhone
Open profile email attachment again.
This time, install on Watch.
Restart Watch.
Open Watch app on iPhone...general...update.

Hope this helps.

I feel like Apple kind of put the Apple Watch on the back burner in favor of their new music service... :(

I am very sure that Apple can easily do more than two things at once. I mean, the watch is only a few months old and needs full attention to survive. Do you honestly think Apple would give short shrift to the watch at this point? That would be akin to completely giving up on the watch. If you really think this is what apple is going, you should sell your watch now before the rush to dump it begins.

Really looking forward to all of these people bricking their watches with beta builds they're not supposed to have. :) Should prove entertaining.

People with no patience for bugs really shouldn't be running beta code. :)

Given how buggy my watch is on 1.01, I can't imagine the beta for 2.0 is any worse. Last week I had to restart the watch no less than 5 times and re-pair it once. Sometimes I get haptics, sometimes I don't. Sometimes notifications go to my watch before my phone, sometimes they don't. Sometimes it just decides to crash and restart itself. Fun times, this 1.01.

Trust me, it can be worse.
You should open a support ticket with Apple - work through the issues.

Unless it's bricked, it really can't.

I'm waiting for stock in-store. Then it will be going in and hopefully I will be coming out with a properly working watch.

For those of you on watchOS 2 and living somewhere where the temps are in celsius - can you try adding the weather complication and seeing if it's displayed in celsius or fahrenheit?

I live in the UK so our temps are usually in celsius, but since the update they've been displaying in fahrenheit. Not a big deal, but annoying nonetheless. Not sure how I can fix it either...

Edit: Weird...went to bed, woke up, was back to normal. Fixed itself somehow overnight while charging.

Anyone else have 'Weather' show up twice under the Glances option screen? It also doesn't appear to have an icon under general Apple Watch settings.
