Battery still quite unstable, 2hrs dropped from full to 68%… after update.

Apologise for delay in responding y’all school started today! Will test if workout buddy has an intro working tomorrow when I hit the gym 💪!

Not applicable on my end, still is fine in refresh rate on my series 6
I lost 15% in approximately 15 hours. I don’t think it’s bad.

I'm having some issues with workout buddy. It starts fine whenever I start a workout, but half way into it giving an intro and some summary, it gets abruptly cut-off and either the workout continues or the music kicks in.

It keeps quiet until the next trigger. However, it's very annoying when it gets cut-off when starting the workout. Anyone facing this and is there any solution for this? I've registered a feedback.

My issue with Workout Buddy is it just stopped working at all. I get the icon on my Apple Watch Ultra but there are no audio announcements when a notification is triggered as part of the workout for example a change in heart rate band or every km. Just total silence. Been like that for my last 3 workouts.

Makes no difference whether I have the AirPods connected to the watch or the iPhone still nothing. Worked okay before, just stopped now. No idea why.

I have sent in feedback but not holding up any hope they will get looked at. Not see anyone else with this issue

Just wish I could get the old style notification read out by your chosen Siri voice. They worked and kept you informed without needing to look at the notifications. Big step backwards for me at the moment.

Have you tried turning on/off low power mode to see if it resets the frame rate
I just tried it, no affect on it. The only time I really see it is opening/closing control center (or whatever it's called on the watch) and opening the app list. And it's maybe 9/10 times where the frame rate is bad. Rarely, it looks nice and correct. Everywhere else in the system, it's pretty smooth.

Thanks for the detailed response.

I’ll test it out today to see if the issue has been resolved, as it seems to have been present since beta 7.

I didn’t have time to provide feedback last week in the previous build because I was preparing for back-to-school and finalising my work modules for my internship.

If the bug persists on my end in this build, I’ll get feedback sorted. ✔️ Cheers! 👋🏻

I am pretty sure that drain just happens if an update just completes so I think it should be fine, the battery only dropped that amount after a night of sleep tracking from full.

Y’all update on workout buddy. Only thing it talks is when you reach a segment or a mile. Tested it out at the gym 💪 today.

Will file feedback on it and post the feedback ID below 👇

So I don’t want to tempt fate… But… 24 hours in on this beta. Ultra 1. 8 hours sleep tracking and 90 minutes workout and still on 54% battery.

Is anyone else feeling that watchOS 26 is a bit slow? Fresh pair to a fresh beta 8 iOS phone and it’s noticeably takes 1.5 seconds for the screen to wake on wrist raise, around a second for control center to populate after hitting the button, etc. Just really lethargic compared to watchOS 11 so far.

Battery has been slightly worse but fine on an Ultra 2, no other real complaints.

not on my end, I have a series 6. What iPhone do you have?

Launch day (October 2022) AWU1 with 85% battery health, so it's far from being brand new. But as long as the battery lasts me the whole day comfortably with workouts included, I don't see the need to upgrade.

Battery life is quite decent on this latest beta. Charged the watch to 100% before bed on Monday evening (right after the update), had a total of 3 hours and 20 min of workout on Tuesday afternoon (1h40 of gym and 1h40 of football/soccer), and I still had 38 or 39% of battery left around 10 PM when I put the watch on the charger. Not bad for a 3 years old device. It can still last the advertised 36 hours without too much trouble. All features are on (AOD, background refresh, no low power mode used, etc.) except cellular that I don't use.

The control center is a bit slow to pop up when I press the right-side button but I'm hoping that will be fixed with the RC or in the weeks after.

i find the battery performance much improved on latest beta. last charged to 100% monday night 10pm now its 15:40(3.40pm) Wednesday and battery is 49% multiple workouts many calls etc over the last few days . so improvement for me on battery performance. note no third party apps installed 😀

15 Pro Max on iOS 26db8. It has the opposite problem. Animations are fluid but the battery is absolutely atrocious.
My watch was like that at the start of this beta.

You comfortable to do a full restore on the iPhone, then pair the watch again?

Those using apple fitness to track your run, do you see your cardio recovery after every workout in the health app?

I use a heart monitor and from what I’m noticing my cardio recovery isn’t in the health app when wearing the HRM. It does show post workout heart rate in the fitness app.

Not sure if this is a bug, or apple doesn’t want you to use an HRM for cardio recovery.

Yes. And I do most runs indoors so it’s only applicable to outdoor walks and runs, and hiking. 🥾

I installed the beta a few days ago and it seems much more polished on the iPhone than in the Watch. Everything is a bit choppy on this one.
This beta isn’t all that in terms of Liquid Glass on watchOS, vs all other OSes by Apple.

It slowly went on more interface design as new betas rolled by.

i just instelled the beta and i couldn't open my watch with my password, it kept on exiting the password as i was typing and gave me a lock out screen, luckliy opened my iphone which automatically opened my watch
