Wow totally surprised that AWU1 is not getting the update.
Yeah that's a bit of a shocker. I'm wearing a Casio watch right now and have been debating going back to a normal watch... The idea I can get a G-Shock that lasts 10 years on a battery and will last a lifetime looks really attractive especially with the idea that these $799 Apple Watches may not be supported for more than a few years, lol. Good grief.

My wife and I just turned off cellular on our watches because we were shocked how expensive it was and how little we used it.

I realize the watch will continue to work and function - but good grief, 2 updates is pretty bad... for something so expensive - and they have the same chips don't they? lol

Edit: People are saying it is a typo ... and they're able to download it on older watches. That makes a lot more sense...

Rly? U have any proof of it? I hope devs can keep their apps supported for years to come as this is a big problem if they stop having watchOS 11 and 26 compatibility from this point forward.

I agree. ☝🏼 makes rly no sense why Apple kicked out a lot of Apple Watches. Another situation where forced upgrade is a necessity

A few macrumors posters in the following thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...-ultra-1-se-2-and-older.2483498/post-34621000

From Apple's own site - looks a little off to me... but hasn't been changed yet. https://www.apple.com/os/watchos/

More and more claiming they can get it - despite not being listed as supported.

Pretty sure this is a type-o by Apple at this point. Still assumption but more and more supported.
It is. I can see it on my end. Weird how Apple took it away suddenly

Note: my iPhone is on iOS 26.5 still
But once you’re out of the screen… ❌

I agree. My AWU1 has been off charger for 9 hours with a 30 minute workout and is sitting on 79% right now. Most of the 26 software it has been using 3% an hour on average, this is looking a little better.

Also, it feels very smooth.

same. if  wasn't seeing Siri AI as a necessity to cut compatibility, we would hav gotten watchOS 27.
