Anyone know if there's a setting to alert you if it becomes disconnected from the iPhone yet?

Still no podcast app that allows download for offline listening. :( (Yes I'm aware of the P.I.T.A. workaround via iTunes...I want a simple way to do this with just a touch or two on my phone)

I'd be fine with this if Apple allowed 3rd party apps like Pocket Casts to enable me to download podcasts for offline listening but don't think that's going to be possible.

Praise God! They disabled screenshots. That was the one thing I know I needed. Half of my photos are my watch face!

Sure it does. You look up at the top of the watch face and if a red iPhone with a line appears, your iPhone is out of range. guess that's not an alert, but it does help. You can also ping your phone but I agree it should let you know. Great idea.

Ya I mean the point is if you FORGET your phone. If I'm being mindful enough to look at the indicator Im probably not forgetting my phone.

Overcast and other 3rd party podcast apps have been doing that for a long time.

Some nice updates, but there are still a few features I wish they'd add:

- Some way to lock the watch face. If you run with sleeves over your watch (say, in the winter), all kinds of things get 'pressed' and it can really screw with your activity. For example, when it suddenly drops into power reserve mode because your moistened sleeve triggered the glance. Let me lock it, and unlock with a double or long press on the buttons.

- An expanded music app. Let me store more than 2GB, keep track of play counts, allow smart playlists.

- When the watch re-connects to your phone (for example, when you get back in range after a run), pull in all of the notifications you missed. Right now, your watch remains completely unaware of any notifications that triggered on your phone while you were out.

Im sure you can lock the watch whilst doing an activity by force touching the screen then locking?

Apart from that the other 2 points are good

Finally they allow disabling screenshots .. I hate filling my camera roll with dumb screenshots of a locked watch when I change bands.

Does anyone know if an Apple Watch 2 will be released this year? How likely? With all the updates on watchOS 3, I have a feeling Apple might go to an every other year update cycle for the watch... I really want to get one but I wish it was at least water proof so I have been holding out on the first gen.

I wish they would make a public beta for the watch. I would love to try this fun stuff out ahead of my friends.

Thankfully I won't be getting random screenshot of my watch because I bent my hand the wrong way.

Currently don't own an Apple watch so was wondering what that update was about.

It makes perfect sense now! Thanks!

I consider buying an Apple Watch and wanted to wait until the release of Apple Watch 2 this fall. Honestly, the slogan is now 'Feels like a whole new watch' and I don't think they'll release a new one anytime soon. With apps launching this fast, what could a next-gen apple watch do? And don't tell me, the battery is too small!! Even with twice the battery time, there would be complainers.

I know I am wanting a GPS chip that only turns on when exercising (to conserve power), and they are also apparently working on a bunch of new health sensors.

Why can't I disable screen shots right now? You're telling me they couldn't push a simple toggle in the menu screen in the 2.2.2 update?

Does anyone with this installed know if the 'Raise to wake' toggle is available in the new Control Center? That's the setting I find myself using often when it's least appropriate for using my watch, like in the movies so I don't bother my neighbor, or during dinner when there is low light, or driving so it doesn't turn on and off whenever I turn the wheel.

I think it's a great update, but new feature like this should come out quicker... when the iPhone first came up the iOS update with feature where a lot faster....

I think apple is still a great company, but it has gotten too large and can't seem to respond fast

a) that's not a notification. If I'm not looking at my watch, I won't know I forgot my phone.
b) the connect range is too great. While I think it's great that the watch can connect to the phone through WiFi, that's too great a range for a "left your phone behind" notification. My Moto360 would vibrate when I got out of Bluetooth range of my Nexus5.

I live in an apartment next to the elevator. My WiFi signal reaches there. I would not get a notification that I'm out of range until I got into the elevator. I think the best of both world would be using WiFi for connectivity, but Bluetooth and haptic for out of range.

Thank goodness for disabling screenshots. Wish I could do it on the phone too. With the way my AppleTV and shared photo streams work, the watch screenshot always ends up on the slideshow at home which is when I notice that I need to delete it. Good times.

I really like the 'now playing' glance. Can it be added to the dock in the new OS update?

i like the new way to select apps, because what we have now is horrible

i like to see some auto sync with Apple Music and Spotify, so I always have my most recent songs with me. This would be awesome to have at the gym or the beach, where I don't want to bring my iPhone

I also like see some power save mode so the batteries last longer

So here we are on watchos3 and the watch STILL cant tell you if you left your phone behind. Seriously, is that a complex piece of code? Doesnt seem like it.

Yes, I know there are (unreliable) 3rd party apps.

I assume this feature could be turned off, but maybe there isnt enough demand for it? I got a watch so i didnt need to have my phone all the time. I leave my phone at my desk at work and in a drawer when i get home. Because of that, my watch disconnects at times all day long.
