i wonder what kind of watch face will there be. most watch face will look weird with a square watch.

watchOS 4.3.1 Beta Hints at Future Support for Third-Party Apple Watch Faces

Certainly an unconfirmed rumor, but one of my favorite ones I've seen recently. Being able to build custom watch faces has been my top feature I'd like to see come to the Apple Watch. I'd love to see a series of watch faces bases on famous clocks around Chicago. This is a feature I'd happily develop for on the Apple Watch.
Another great idea would be date-themed Apple-made watch faces that passively load in the background. Think of it as Google Doodles for your watch face. Call it “dynamic date” or something.
Imagine you wear your watch around Christmas and it surprises you with a Santa themed face when you put it on one morning. Or valentines, or Chinese New Year, or halloween, WWDC, St Patrick’s Day, Holi, Ramadan, or any other special occasion. It would certainly encourage me to wear my watch more regularly. Fitness tracking is my primary purpose for wearing the WATCH but novelty would rank higher than notifications if Apple was to do this.
Imagine how much return-to-product they could drive if people online (or at the water cooler) were talking about how awesome the watch face was this week.

I disagree. Android wear is more open and all the watch faces I tried sucked and killed the battery. I would rather have Apple ones which are more customisable!
Having only just jumped onboard the AW with a S3LTE, I'm impressed with the whole experience... on the whole.

You mean to tell me after 3 or so years, that's ALL the watch faces the Apple Watch has?
That's a pretty poor effort on Apple's part.
And quite a few are similar and lack decent functionality!
I would love to see a cyber-punk, noir-styled watch face. Or let Casio throw a few against the wall and see what sticks.

At this point custom watch faces are about the only thing I still wish I had that other platforms have had for ages. I wouldn't mind a round face either, but I have grown to accept this one.

Apple watch started off great, but if this comes to be, third party developers will be going to town over what was once a perfect Apple watch...
You might say this will turn into a second iMessage emoji type thing. (Which may also come)
Anything third party developers do may be good for a start, but they will basically ruin this what Apple has made clean. On the desktop, its fine, because it not a small screen device like a watch. but in a limited space, you don't want to see all sorts of things.
