Everyone, keep us posted if iOS 11 beta 3 fixes the battery drain for you!

The odd thing for me is B2 improved over the last few days.

I’ve no logical reason why, i used it on airplane mode all last week, but today I’m on 52% now and I didn’t use airplane at all.

That has happened occasionally to me also over the past 2 weeks. No rhyme or reason. Has to be a background process that I can't control.

same here, over the last 4 days my battery has actually been great. Must be some background process and no way to find out. I sent a bug report to Apple on this and Apple wants more info, now my battery doesn't drain! Go figure...

The same thing happened to me last week. For some unknown reason, my watch started getting great battery life on Beta 2 after days of horrible battery life.

Hey Guys,

i was downloading the iOS 11 beta 3 ipsw, was completly restoring my iphone and configured it as a new one. Then, i re-paired the Watch with my iPhone 6S. That was 3 hours ago. Now i have 100% battery left. So the battery drain seems to be fixed. I tried this on beta 2 one time and it was not working.

Background Refresh turned off on completly on iphone and on Apple Watch. Location Service also only allowed for several apps when i use it. No App uses my locations service in the background when i am not using the app.

Just give it a try. ;-)

Ahh good call, I'll try re-pairing my watch again, now that it's a new IOS beta.

I'm going to do the same thing right now. I guess I would also say that if it is 100% after 3 hours then maybe it is still not working. I've had that before, restarted my watch, and it showed the correct battery of 85% or something. 3 hours and 100% sounds awesome but certainly isn't normal either.

iOS 11b3 installed. Dropped even quicker than before. 100% to 20% in about 6 hours and not using it much. Back to turning off Bluetooth until watch beta 3 on my series 2

For me, the re pairing has completly solved the battery problem. Background refresh completly disabled on watch and iphone, replaced the battery consuming Facebook App with friendly plus and disabled all location services except Find my iPhone and find my watch. just give it a try.

My Apple Watch Series 0 battery life is much better with ios 11 beta 3

With Beta 2 on my Watch and iPhone, the Watch dies after 4 hours completely. All functions were deactivated.

Today I wear The watch also for 4 hours (see Edits). Many notifications, calls and reboots and the Watch still has over 70% Battery.

I have installed iOS 11 Beta 3 on my iPhone 7, than I unpaired the Watch over the Watch-App and set it up as a new one.

The watch is one of the first and has certainly not the battery life as at the beginning but now keeps the battery back over the day.

Sorry for my English - Greetings from Germany

EDIT: 5 hours. 65% Battery - COOL!
EDIT2: 6 hours now at 58% Battery - GREAT!
EDIT3: 8 hours after ... Battery now at 49% ... Battery drain seems be fixed

EDIT4: 10hours ... 41% Battery!

ios 11 beta 3 has been really bad on my Watch S2. on iOS 10/watch OS3 I got 2 days out of it. Now it's 10:30am (off charge since 6) and I am at 62%.

I think I fixed it! (Series 0, iOS11 b3, re-paired with phone)
  1. disabled Background App Refresh on the watch.
  2. removed Carrot Weather from Dock
  3. removed any complication that would likely use background processes
Battery seems much closer to normal now.

After 6 hours of sleep, my watch went down from 79% to 62%, which is about what it was before.

Before my 1-hour commute this morning, I put back the Carrot Weather complication, and my battery went from 83% to 72%, which is too fast.

Once I removed the Carrot Weather complication, battery has been much closer to normal.

Setting up as a new watch has appeared to solve the issue for me so far. Just as a point of reference.

IP 7+ - iOS 11 B3
Series 2 - wOS 4 b2

Crap bag, I take it back. In my commute this morning, my battery drained from 100% to 74% in one hour. It seemed pretty solid for most of yesterday while I was at the office, but I'm starting to think the battery drains abnormally when my location starts changing.

Yesterday my battery was perfekt. 12 Hours in use and 32% battery left ...

Today the Battery drain come back. Nothing was changed. 3 hours and 30 minutes and the fully charged battery was dead!

Watch was now destroyed from rage. Tomorrow I buy a Series 2 Hermes and never install beta versions again

Are you also running iOS 11 beta? I've seen reports of non-beta Apple Watch users that iOS 11 beta is the problem.

Well, the newest iOS beta did nothing to help my problems. Watch is still terrible. Drained completely in 3 hours.

Updated to PB2 but still getting awful results with watch unless in airplane mode!

Dunno if it the ios or watch os betas

But watch it literally dead after 4 hours of not alot of use!

And how will that work ? WatchOS 4 can`t be paired with iOS 10.3.2 or 10.3.3.

The only solution is to wait for the next update.

And I hope that the watch in the next generation will get a lightning connection. Send it to Apple for an Downgrade ... pff

Same. I’m also getting notifications on both devices. iPhone vibrating in pocket. Is this happening for you?
same, but a new beta was just launched today. I will update and let you know if both of these issues are fixed.

Post says non-beta watch users that are using ios 11 beta. that works. what doesn’t work is what you said.
