same, but a new beta was just launched today. I will update and let you know if both of these issues are fixed.

Post says non-beta watch users that are using ios 11 beta. that works. what doesn’t work is what you said.

Latest WatchOS beta is working MUCH better for me than beta 2. It isn't the same battery life that I was getting on OS3 or even the first beta, but it is drastically improved. I'm losing battery at about 10% per hour now, which should give me 8-10 hours of use. Last beta I was getting 2 hours of use before needing to charge.

Doing even better than yesterday now. Currently 2.5 hours standby and I'm at 92%.

On your iPhone:
Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Apple Watch Faces ... Set to Never

This solved my watchOS 4 battery woes.

You can turn it back on with the latest betas (I think beta 4 solved this ... I'm on beta 6 at the moment).

I’m on beta six as well but still think the battery life is terrible compared to watchOS 3 on my S2 - going to bed with 20% today and haven’t used it an awful lot today specifically besides a 34 min bike ride (with iPhone in my pocket so gps off that)

Back in the day I could go to bed with over 50-60% almost daily - never since these new betas

Yes, that's the battery life I'm experiencing - approx 55-60% after about 14 hrs of use. I started from scratch with beta 4, removed all third party apps from the watch, and have slowly been installing third party apps, one at a time.

Sounds a lot like my old usage. Just hope they fix it. I really don’t have that many 3rd party apps on my watch

A local news app, Nike Run Club, Cardiogram and Carrot mainly
