I have not waited a lot for it to prompt me. How does it work. The auto detect promote after x number of minutes?

Latest beta, walked for hours at a time, still nothing from auto detection:(
Just curious, when you walk for hours, do you get credit for hours of exercise? At least with me, I walk pretty fast - about 4mph and I get notified of working out. When I am tired and walk slower, I don’t get notified.

Auto stop works every time.

I walk as I normally do. It detected me before a few times, but nothing for weeks now. I could be walking for over an hour. If you are walking, it should detect it. It doesn't.

Next beta then :(

Walking detection does work. You have to move quick enough. Relaxed walk isn’t counted as exercise. The sam is with cycling - if I ride 15kmh nothing is recorded. Over 20kmh is.

How’s performance and battery life on the S2 compared to 4.3.1? Trying to get feedback so I can determined on whether I want to update or not.

Thank you!

Well, that is what I’m doing. I was just wondering how the latest beta was on the S2... at least gives me somewhat of an idea.

I wear mine overnight and charge late morning and usually the battery was around 70% on my S2 on OS4.

As of a week ago I started on 5.0 beta and it's usually 50%, so a significant step backwards but it is of course still a beta. Will judge when final release.

The leaked photos of the new Watch are rather nice. I'm hoping faces with more complications in the middle come to previous generation watches. I realise the outside complications may not happen due to the requirement of the larger screen, but I do like that face with the 4 complications in the middle.

Seems to me that they gonna be model locked.

You're probably right, which is a shame.

I'm not a good designer, so if someone asked me how to improve the current Watch faces I wouldn't be able to say - but it is the one thing that disappoints me about my S3. I love it (and I wasn't even sure I'd like it when I bought it), but the face selection is a bit poor and I struggle to put into words why.

Bit poor? :)

I’ve complained for years. Just look at Samsung’s Watch faces to see how it should be done in my opinion only. I like the Hermès face but you can’t add more the a controlled single complication for date basically.

The new watch face shown for AW4 is finally something that those of us that like complications and look better than the modular face.

I’m active and like to have complications around fitness and weather and calendar events. The AW4, to me, does it right.

Yes, but there are plenty of other cases today, when a watch face is model locked. Hermes, Nike, Explorer, Pride.
So I suppose, that the watch face with so many complications won't be available to all. But it's just my guessing.
Those are for specific sponsors. I would be very surprised to see Apple not provide at least the updated corner complications to the previous generation watch. The S3 has 2 corner, 1 large bottom and 4 centre. The S4 has 4 corner, 4 centre and 1 large curved one. Ditching the large bottom one for 2 corner ones would be useful.

I don’t know if there is much precedent at Apple for changing the UI so much between models and then not providing that to previous versions. This could be a first.

I’m leaning towards that watch face only working on the S4 due to screen size. Hope I am wrong, but that wouldn’t be Apple. :)

I believe they already do that with the Watches. For example, I have a non-cellular Nike AW3. So I get the Nike watch faces. However, I do not get the ability to have the Nike Analogue face with white text and red hands/complications. That option is only available to cellular Nike AW3s. So it's not just brand/sponsor specific - certain models are restricted on what faces they can have anyway.

In terms of the choices, some of them are just weird. So on the Nike Digital face I can select a colour, which is fine. I'm also able to select White/Volt and have both. But I'm not able to select White/Red. Only full red is available. Why can't I have the dual colour combination with anything but Volt?

I mean sort of, but obviously they're not gonna put the Nike face on a non-Nike watch, that makes sense. But I think if they shrunk it down a tiny bit, this new watch face could fit on non-edge to edge Watches, definitely on the 42mm. But they may just keep it to the Series 4 just to make it a differentiating thing.

True, and make us upgrade to S4... :)

Even though this is getting way off topic for this thread now, I highly doubt they're going to add a face with more complications to existing watch models, simply due to the additional RAM and CPU requirements of having more apps running/being queried regularly. Every additional complication is another app that needs to be kept in memory and periodically woken up for background processing.
