Still impressed by how quickly a Series 4 watch installs updates from the Apple logo appearing to the charge animation showing again was all of 3 minutes. That would have easily been a 30+ minute install on my old Series 2.
I just upgraded to an S4 from an S0 on Monday. Had to install 5.1.1. Unbelievably fast! On S0, I would have to install updates as I was heading to bed. Sometime in the middle of the night it would be done.

Just installed the beta. So glad to have the messages and mail back on the infograph face. Now playing would be icing on the cake but its half way there as I can click on the now playing at the top of the screen when something is playing.

Great news that messages has been added to info watch faces.

Now the question is , does the messages complication still show the unread count on it , as per Watch Os4.

At the beginning the messages complication was just a shortcut , then the unread count was introduced (thankfully) so just wondering if still shows.

Also is the complication just for the 4 round positions , or has it been developed for corner slots too.

Be great to see a pic on info faces.

Cheers

Here’s what it looks like.

That’s perfect , thanks.

So the larger circular position will most definitely show the count number too.

Incidentally , if you have the mail app on the corner slot , does it say how many unread. Stock mail complication has never done this.

Cheers.

lol yea it always bugs me when I see that. Maybe its an OCD thin but I don't like leaving any unread items on my phone.

And is the Mail notifications issue solved?

Anyone else having problems with r"aising your wrist Siri"? I feel stupid repeating stuff over and over to no effect. I eventually have to invoke Siri with the Crown. Is there a trick to this or is this just generally problematic?

If there's a trick, it's that it relies on detecting the motion of your arm swinging up towards your face. For example, just rotating your wrist to turn the screen on isn't enough, you need to bring your arm up a bit as well.

Apple's support document ( https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT205184 ) describes it as:
  1. Raise your wrist to wake your Apple Watch.
  2. Hold your watch near your mouth.
  3. Say what you need.
It doesn't have to be right near your mouth, and 1 and 2 can be done in a single motion, but it does rely on the motion of the watch coming up towards you. Think of it like the "spy secretly speaking into their hidden wrist microphone" trope.

Thanks!

I've had this problem for years with my Series 0 getting the screen to wake with a wrist raise. Is this the same motion or something more than just getting it to wake up. If the latter, dumb move on Apple's part...

I’m having issues with this and so are many others if you google. Siri hears everything I say and then just vanishes as if it wasn’t a deliberate thing. People are saying to hold the watch vertical from the ground. Didn’t help me. Sometimes it works like magic but mostly I just want to disable it. I hope they fix this as it feels much more natural just speaking directly.

B57802A3-3EDB-49E9-AEF2-0A4DA5B6BBBA.png I’m having this issue. If I’m listening to music on my iPhone my watch shows the song, but when I’m finished, I close the app on the iPhone, yet the watch music app icon shows up. Notice the icon in the top middle of the watch.

And can’t get rid of it unless I reboot the watch. :(

Has the Alarm complication been added to the infograph Modular Watch Face ?

As crazy an omission as the other stock apps imo

Cheers

Raise to speak is so hit and miss I don't bother.

Hey siri works just fine and can be done without the wrist raise. Just ensure the screen is on with a tap or flick and your good to go.

I wonder if the reason for this is that they are using such discriminatory sound filters to avoid random activation that it has a hard time when you’re asking for something. I would be happy to voice train it just like I do my iPhone if that would help.
