For subsequent betas of WatchOS 6, can we update from the watch itself by downloading the update directly or we still need to go through the phone?

Maybe. No-one knows yet, as Apple hasn't said.

Please wait. I did it and more than anything I miss the "messages" on watch faces, especially the new watch faces.

Are you missing the messages complication too?

I had the issue where it wasn't there, but restarting and then re-selecting it, it was back.

Still have to go through the iPhone, it might change on the final version.

But I tried updating directly to from the Watch itself, but I had to finish the setup via the iPhone since it gave me a prompt to do so. And I had to put the Apple Watch on the charger.

It's not showing me the update, its just spinning

Now im stuck at this lol

Put your Apple Watch on the charger.. and unlock it. Then try to resume download.

Or close your Apple Watch. But make sure your Apple Watch is unlock while you try to update it via the Apple Watch app..

Yeah, I had that issue. I even tried to install it via the Apple Watch itself. But unlocking the Apple Watch helped my cause...

I don’t know why it wasn’t reading that I was on WiFi, but it’s beta... so I can’t really fault it being buggy.

I had to type my iTunes password from the Apple Watch itself. It gives me the option to insert text via iOS device.

Are you getting the install update via the Apple Watch itself? And when you install it from there.. does it give you the same message?
Nope. I need to go to setting and general, software update and it says that it will resume when i connect to a wifi

Did anyone else’s Apple Watch finishing installing beta 3? Mine’s been sitting with the full ring filled for quite awhile now. It’s starting to worry me =/
