The california face is ruined for me with this Beta. The large bolded pills are ruining the black version of the California face. They stand out so much which removes the classy feel of this particular face. We need an option to be able to have the bold pills removed.

At least reduce their size. Make them thin like the utility watch face.

Beta 3 is great for me. Took my watch off the charger at 06:45am and now at 14:20 it is 85% - so no major battery drain for me. Normal usage. It’s smooth and working as well as prior watchOS 6 betas.

What is there not to like in the Cali face?! Beautiful with the numbers.

Betas always drain worse, as there’s analytic stuff running on them, etc. Can’t really judge until GM.

I’m not referring to betas. I am referring to the public release and then a few updates after that when more kinks are taken care of. I know betas can be a crap storm with battery life. That is nothing new.

Your post wasn’t clear on that. You talked about watchOS6 in present tense, as if you’re using it now.

so my apple watch during lunchtime went from 60something percent to 0% all of a sudden.

I didnt even see it happen. It just vibrated saying low power at 2% and then it died. I have a 44mm series 4 just purchased in Feb. I know this is a watch OS 6 bug but sheesh how the hell does this even happen.

when i first installed watchOS 6. I had huge battery drain then it kind of regulated itself after about a week. So this is pretty random.

I would guess it being a crashed app hogging CPU cycles and hence exhausting the battery.

I agree. Making the pills bolder has made the California face look tacky to me. I hope they go back to the original California face for the next beta.

Is WatchOS 6 worth getting? Is there too many bugs or have they fixed most of them? I’d like to not ruin my brand new S4 after buying it a week ago.

you know what, its that damn noise complication. It drainssssssssssss your battery. I had it on since watchOS 6 started. I would take my watch off the charger and while getting ready for work, i would already lost over 5%. I made it all the way to work (25mins) and im at 97%.

I know it is still early in the beta but i hope the battery drain is fixed by the time it goes official.

Two of the complications that I keep on the Infograph face (Things and Waterminder) are now showing nothing but dashes. Don't know if it's something that the developers need to fix or if it's on Apple's end. They worked fine in Betas 1 & 2.

Most likely watchOS bug. I emailed WaterMinder support about this. Will report back once I hear something.

How's the battery on the latest beta???
S4 44mm - I'm getting a big reduction in remaining battery. So normally I start at 100% at 7am and end my day of normal usage at 11pm (two days worth of data, by end of day 2 I charge my watch). And when I say normal usage, I do not play music directly off the device, I respond to text messages via audio converted to text or emoji's, health tracking is enabled including a daily ECG (1 at lunch). And I use the modular compact face with weather/calendar/activity monitoring. And finally, the new Noise dB is enabled and running in the background for quick checks (if needed, I might check this app once a day, at most two). So after all that I would see around 60 to 65% battery left at the end of day 1, sleep with my watch on (theater mode goes into effect) and wake up with around 50% remaining which would last me for day 2 before charging.. this is not the case with OS6. I'm seeing at best 50% by bedtime (11pm), theater mode goes into effect, wake up I'm around 25 to 30%. At that rate, I would not make it through the day so I take my watch off and charge it while I get ready for my day, bringing it back to around 70% or so.. again I know at 50% remaining I can get through the day. So the biggest loss of battery power is nonactive time, which simply should not be the case.. but.. it's beta and active monitoring is running so that does bring down the device. They'll end up doing their usual tweaks and by the end should be back to where they usually are. Sorry.. this is probably way overkill. Apple Watch is by far my fave Apple product. :)

I have a series 3 with the latest beta (unless they updated since yesterday). My Activity app completely stopped working, nothing is being saved at all! The complication is like blanked out, for lack of a better description, on my watch face. I was going good, battery and everything. Yesterday at some point between 2:15 and 2:45 pm my watch spontaneously rebooted and when it can back on the activity complication was like that and it wouldn’t open on the watch. At that time I was sitting around 75% battery and by 7 pm it was dead. Charged it overnight and same issue with activity this morning. Put it on at 100% around 9:30 am and by 5:30 it was dead. I used to get up to two days out of this thing! I did new feedback to Apple in both issues but WTH? I’m going out of town tomorrow and my watch is virtually unusable!

Now that is an answer, nice one.

And on that note i'll think I'll leave it to the next beta, or the one after that. I've been burned by the Watch beta before so I'm a bit more cautious now.

happened to me for Shazam and Weather Live. It was working at first and randomly stopped working and showed the dashes too
